Weddings are in the air!
After an actress and a singer got married, a beauty icon BI and her fiancée NF are now meticulously planning for their wedding. However, instead of having smooth preparations, BI and NF are milking their wedding to a hilt by asking for exchange deals aka ex-deals. Instead of availing of the services of their supplier companies, the couple instead, asks what the companies can offer them - for free. In short, they want ex-deals in the form of freebies/discounts for their wedding.

DC is known to do coverage of some of celebrity weddings allegedly because of the freebies it offers them.
DC flew to an Asian peninsula for the prenuptial shoot of BI and NF. After seeing the photo prints, they thumbed them down, and wanted to remove the photographers from the roster of wedding sponsors. Well, since the photography service was an ex-deal, expectations should not have been so high. That's the exact reason why celebrities avail of the services of DC to begin with.
Adding to the woes of the preparation for the wedding was BI's tardiness. She was late several times for at least two hours for her appointments with the other suppliers. Her tardiness did not sit well with these suppliers being victims of her unprofessionalism. ReplyDeletekumusta naman kaya ang mga ginagawa nya? baka sub-standard din ang materyales... on the other hand, baka naman nagtitipid si ateh kaya ex-deal ang gusto...parang may nakita na akong pre-nup photos nila a few months ago (though not sure if that is the same pre-nup shots referred to in the BI), yung DC is the same company who did R's wedding...

DeleteI know DC. We got them to cover our wedding too. They are more of hit and miss. Fortunately for us, the video was a hit but Photo was a miss :( As a bride, it is normal that you want the best for your day. Regardless if you are paying or not. Besides, X-deal works for both parties so DC should deliver.

DeleteThis is why my sister hired a diff photographer & videographer for her wedding. Kasi daw pag magaling sa video, di magaling sa photos & vice versa.
Delete2:16 thats not exactly true. they're a hit or miss. from a photographer's point of view, photographs are subjective.. thats why its important na you check their past projects if you like their shooting style. if d ka happy, then look for someone who can deliver the goods. d pede na idictate mo ang aesthetic na gusto mo. on another note, iba ang mga taong kumukuha ng video and photo for them. as in literally iba iba kasi they subcontract it to other videographers and photographers. kaya if you sign up with them, you have to ask them who took the pictures for a certain project if like mo shooting style non and the same goes for the video. kasi nga they d lahat ng tao nila ay in-house. karamihan mga freelancer lang. so pede pa rin na yung makuha mo is okay sa photo and video.

ReplyDeleteWhen you get a supplier for your wedding, it's just normal to consider the ex-deals. Of course, kasama na rin yan sa binabayaran. I respect BI and NF's decision to fire the supplier upon seeing the output.

Kung hindi maganda ang free, may malaking posibilidad na hindi rin maganda ang paid services.
ReplyDeleteBeauty icon has been the subject of previous BIs here. She has the looks good enough to land her a world acclaim. Unfortunately though, she lacks the attitude and grace befitting a title holder, reasons why she may have lost let's just hope the couple ast as a couple because with this story, they are not off to a good start.

Hindi din naman siya ganoon ka-sikat na indorser, wala nga ko maalala na endorsement niya eh, so I am pretty sure iyong ex-deal will not deliver the highest quality expected kagaya ng sa isang paying customer. Gusto pala niya ng libre, eh di accept what is given of her, huwag nang choosy. Kung mukha man siyang humihigop ng tsunami sa mga pictures eh, kasalanan niya iyon, ayaw niyang magbayad eh. So iyak, hikbi, atungal na lang siya, plus achuchuchu! Hahaha!!!

I'm part of the wedding industry ang balita nga ito. Haha. Nag-share si supplier In fairness, magaling si supplier. Baka gusto lang ni higop ng another photographer kaya nagdadahilan na lang.
