Aside from being the first of its kind on Phil television, the pacing of the story, the acting performances, the cinematography and the kilig factor complement the entirety of the teleserye. It has been trending consistently for the past 13 days, and it seems GMA has scored a winner in My Husbands Lover. KUDOS!

ReplyDeleteIt's not bad to do shows like this, kaya Lang it's not for Primetime and the major thing it's for everyday viewing. Pwede siguro late viewing yung tulog na mga bata at teenagers. Although marami na ring themes like this na nagawa but those are in movies and in a once Week drama shows. In Hollywood, once a week but with strict compliance to board of sensors. GMA dares to be different with its drama shows pero in appropriate naman sa pagpapalabas na Araw Araw at sa telebabad pa. Wala Namang problema Kung the homosexuality ng mga characters ang problema it encourages homosexuality among the young viewers. Mas katanggap tanggap ang homosexual tv shows Kung ang mga bida ay Lantad na bakla at Hindi nagpipretend na totoong lalaki dahil tanggap naman yan ng publiko, kagaya ng sa Glee at Modern Family. In the case of MHL, characters are pretentious acting like a real man when in fact they are closet queens and having a relationship together despite of the other having a wife and kid. Our society being catholic and conservative is not yet ready for such viewing habit of covert homosexual relationship on a daily basis. In my own opinion, I maybe idealistic, conservative, or some may call me hypocrite...i'd say the show is immoral and should be sensored and elevated to late night viewing if possible.

ReplyDeleteQuality films are not usually acclaimed in advertising, but highly praised by educated critisism. I guess it goes with some tele-seryes...the majority speak for itself if its quality or not. Its a pity advertiser should learn a lot still...from the majority regardless of class, gender or race.

Its not all about evolving and embracing new world with confidence and respect...dapat kasama rin ang values na ibibigay sa tao bilang manunuod. ang mga pinoy mostly, we copy what we see... so porke't enjoyable at done in good taste, ok na lang...sa pananaw nating mga b_kla cguro--oo! Gumagawa namn tayo ng pattern of comparison para sa mga bullies--nakakaawa ang mga kabataang lalaki na me ganitong tendencies ang buhay. Siguro yung mga nasasabing I good taste naman is because they enjoy it because of its immoral contents. Di ba Kung ano ang bawal at immoral, yun ang gustong gusto ng Tao. The tv show is just not acceptable, period Kung gusto ng GMA ang mga ganyang theme ilagay sa weekly to late night.

ReplyDeleteKaF ako pero if this show is doing good, congratulations but, boundaries should be observed. I agree with Anon June 27 9:00 AM. There is always a right show for a right audience. Very few lang dito ang nagcomment according sa totoong dapat kalagyan ng show which is sa late night. Wag sabihing maganda at gusto mo dahil lang nakarelate ka sa orientation ng palabas. Dapat meron din values na naibibigay sa mga tao especially sa mga kabataang lalake na meron tendencies na humantong sa ganitong klaseng pamumuhay sa future. Hindi ko sinasabing dapat maging straight sila but then at least makakita sila ng pointers paano mahahandle ang sarili in the future--hindi yung gagawing katatawan lang ang eksena ng pagtatago sa asawang babae at sa mga kaibigan. entertaining right, pero dapat responsible.
ReplyDeleteYung mga afternoon shows ng ABS about premarital sex, adultery, concubinage, murder, kidnapping, etc. ba ay pasok sa sinasabi mong " right show for a right audience?" Kapag ganun ang tema eh pwede sa afternoon block, pero kapag about homosexuality eh di pwede sa 9:45 PM? That's responsible for you? Have your principle checked again. Masyadong baluktot.
Deletedisagree ako dito pagpapalabas ng ganitong tema. Yes I do enjoy and understand such genre pero me kaakibat na guidelines ang lahat ng bagay bago ipalabas sa tao. Yun ngang issue ng gay acceptance eh hindi pa rin kinakatigan ng maraming Filipino, so pano natin masasabi na ok lang ito at hindi magiging basehan ng ibang makikitid ang utak upang ipangutya sa mga lalakeng dumaraan sa mga ganitong pagsubok. Its all money tama ang isang nagcomment, kahit anung depensa ng GMA pera-pera lang to. Sa mga current affairs sa Pilipinas, sino ba ang mahilig magpalabas ng mga sexual escapades ng mag gays---db GMA? At dahilan dun ang daming gays na nbabansagan ng kung anu ano base sa mga pinalabas nila. So pano mo sasabihin na meron puso ang palabas na to?

DeleteThis CBCP people are bunch of hypocrite like the Sadducees in the bible ...why dont they tell their g*y priests to have the decency to resign coz of the immoralities they are doing to and inside the church.. They have more skeleton in their closets to look into rather than criticizing a show that is timely relevant. I myself personally know 2 g*y priests and they live a life worse than a regular parlor g*ys...tsk tsk..so pathetic to see someone's dirt and throwing the first stone but they couldn't even see their own filth.

ReplyDeleteThis is a bold move of GMA 7. Kudos to them. Galing ng writers at ang bilis ng pacing. Superb ang script - ibang klase. Totoong nangyayari sa tunay na buhay. Sa ABS kasi puro pa-cute at pag papanggap. Walang substance. MHL is phenomenal and its destined to be number one.
If i know the reason behind this statement of CBCP is thru the pressure of ABS people dahil nagimbal sila sa reaction at positive reaction ng tao. Bawat soap kasi sa ABS ay mahal eh marami silang line up so maapektuhan yun. Yung upcoming Muling Buksan ang Puso susme walang dating. Popularity based na naman yan kina Julia, Enchang at enrique

I like the story,the actors are superb,sa lahat ng kumukondena,opinyon nyo yan pero eto ang reyalidad ng buhay.sa ayaw nio man o gusto these kind of stories really do exist!!wag naman po natin masyado husgahan ang mga kapatid natibg bakla o tomboy,hindi naman nila kagustuhan na maging ganun sila.tao sila,may puso.as long as kapaki pakinabang sila bilang tao at hindi nakakasagasa sa iba let them be!!dami kasing hypocrites sa mundo lahat tayo makasalanan.
ReplyDeletejust like the other teleseryes that includes kidnapping,murder,rape,physical and verbal abuse,naglalaman ng sex o sige medyo sexy,that tackles infidelity bakit ang mga yun hindi nyo pinag initan,porke ba dahil may involve na mga bakla sa serye pag iinitan nyo na wag ganun tsk tsk...yung mga nabanggit ko IMMORAL yun ah ediwag na mag palabas ng teleserye,cartoons na lang.
