MANILA, Philippines -- Jed Salang, the husband of Ai Ai delas Alas, on Wednesday made his first public appearance since their controversial separation last month to face charges reportedly filed against him by the actress.
The businessman, who married the 48-year-old comedienne in Las Vegas on April 3, appeared before the Quezon City Regional Trial Court (RTC) Branch 94 on Wednesday morning to face a case in relation to his separation from delas Alas.
The Kapamilya star, who arrived separately from her former husband at the same court, had reportedly filed a case against Salang for violating Republic Act 9262 or the act defining violence against women and children.
Delas Alas' legal complaint is in addition to a protection order she had sought against Salang in late May.
Also seen leaving the Quezon City RTC branch separately, both delas Alas and Salang refused to comment on the legal proceedings, with the businessman's legal counsel citing a gag order issued by the court.
In a controversial interview on "The Buzz" aired in May, delas Alas broke down as she recalled being allegedly physically abused by Salang over a disagreement.
The interview came after reports surfaced that the two have separated less than a month after they married in the United States.

DeleteWhat if the man that you married doesn't really love you and was proven that he was only using you for money. What is in there to fix in the first place? As a woman, you should know and stand up for your rights. Yes I agree that marriage is a lifetime commitment that you have to work on everyday, but this is a whole different story. Maybe she can forgive in time, but she has children. How can you stay married with a man who not only abused you physically and mentally, but might also end up taking away what's for your children.

yes forgivable ngunit bakit pa kailangang magsama? u know the word "trauma"?? kapag hindi yan naagapan or nalutas, malamang panghabambuhay na yan noh.... bugbugin ka ba naman ng ganyan kalaking tao,,,hindi mo lang basta kakilala, asawa mo pa...

I believe Jed used AiAi. Pero may malaking kasalanan din jan si AiAi dahil sya naman talaga pumilit dun sa lalake na pakasalan sya at talagang sinilaw nya ng pera nya dahil before ng kasal, pinagusapan na nila na tutubgan nya si Jed magtayo ng saring business..kaya pareho lang sila naggamitan. Saka tungkol sa gulpihan, pahapyaw na inamin ni AiAi na madalas din nyang nasasaktan si Jed pag napipikon sya...for all we know, baka pinagtatanggol lang ni Jed sarili nya or sinasalag mga sapak ni AiAi kaya tumilapon sa kama. Hindi masyado pinaelaborate yun ni Boy Abunda during interview (sya kasi manager ni AiAi). Mukhang nainfluenced na sya ni Kris para magmukhang walang bahid ng kasalanan at kawawa. Saka PSG talaga? Mayaman sya, bakit kelangan gamitin PSG..eh pera ng bayan nagpapasweldo sa kanila?! Sana nagbayad sya sarili nyang security! Palakasan talaga..idea syempre ni Kris!
