Letter from a Reader: Going, going...gone.

Dear Fashion PULIS, 

Just want to tell you my sentiments regarding Sphere. I don't know if you saw the tweet from @LikeS during its T5 launch, nonetheless here is my story.

This was just recently at the launching of Sphere's T5 line. I was following their twitter account and happened to stumble on a tweet offering the line at a price of 1,499php per month. I was enticed by the offer so I immediately asked the @ChatwithS and @SinOfS for the requirements. I also inquired about their website showing a plan 1,799 only but without the 1,499php which was their current offering that I was interested in.  

After more than 12 hours, @ChatwithS replied asking me where i saw the information and requested me to provide a link. The tone of the message was quite rude, and as if to add more insult, he/she put a a smiley at the end of the message. 

Furious, I immediately searched my whole feed and backtracked the @LikeS  account -- but to my dismay, I could no longer find the tweet. My mistake was my failure to take a screenshot of it, although a lot of people in the office saw that tweet. 

Enraged, I replied telling them that I saw the tweet but now the tweet was gone. I further added , "Ganyanan na pala. Tsk." 

The reply?  " How may we help you today? :). " 

You're getting the picture now, FP.

I  said, "No thanks - @Wise (their competitor) can help me better.

Now they tweeted me saying their T5 plan is available at plan 1,599php and I'm like sheesh Sphere.

For clarification, I have a different plan on @Wise already. 

Thank you very much, FP for providing an avenue for aggrieved consumers like me. More power!

    3. kung sa tinging ni Loida mas effective ang FP site kesa sa pagpunta sa DTI na for sure naman ay hindi xa iintindihin dun.. walang pakialamanan sa paraan ng paglalabas ng reklamo!

  10. Anonymous -- try to associate SPHERE with something like shape. The point is, the unprofessional dealings of @SPHERE Telco towards their subscribers and prospective subscribers. I just want to share my story as well. When I applied for a postpaid line with them, they asked for too many docs, all of which I provided (all recent docs). Afte about a week, they informed me that I don't qualify for a p1799.00 plan. Subsequently, I submitted my application for a postpaid line with @WISE, in 3 days time, I got my approved for plan p2000.00. In fact, one document was a photocopy (and they may have required the original). I'm glad I'm Wise!

      9:24 agree they could be "appalling" perl kung may malisya lang mag-isip yung "nginitian." kung di guilty ang nagbabasa, a smiley would somehow soften the tone of whatever that statement was. agree ka din sa kin. =)

  14. i love the code names....SPHERE and WISE hahaha! and how about for the other competitor?...may i ask?... :)

    I have also the same dismay on how their CS handles their callers...they are so unprofessional and its like they are not knowledgeable on their product and do not know how to respond on the complains...mas matagal pa ang oras mo makinig sa voice prompts kesa sa mga CS nila.....to get even...i always pay them delayed and i don't pay in full...hahaha! tabla tabla lang yan!

  15. I have had no problems with the customer service of the said network. In fact I think user friendly and site and hotline nila,Then madali naman kausap ang CSR. Fifteen years na akong subscriber.

  18. Dear Loida, you didn't realize how easy it is to search for you on twitter, did you? I saw your exchange of tweets with ChatWithSphere. Looks like, they were attending to you politely. Believe me, I am a Wise subscriber. But I don't think there's any point whining here. You may be just upset for the lost promo. Deal with it. Move on. Glad you ended up with Wise :)

  19. Actually, may plan 999 nga sila eh. Galing kaya nila. And sila yung nakaisip na iba-ibang lockout periods. Ang galing!
    No matter what other people say, sa totoo lang, magaling si Sphere.
    Ang linis pa ng image. Naturnoff ako sa mga commercial ng mga kalaban nila...masyadong patama,parang hindi professional.

      Basa basa at research din pag may time.

  20. My entire family (mother, father, brother, sister, tita) has been with Sphere since the mid-90s. We've held both prepaid and post-paid, pero wala pa naman kaming major issue na na-encounter.

    We do tend to be diligent about things like documents and updating our accounts: factor din siguro yun...ano pa... lahat ng postpaid transactions namin ginagawa sa branch mismo...ah...

    karamihan din ng transactions either sa Avenida de Queso, sa tatsulok or dun sa tindahan ng sapatos sa norte (natuwa ako sa kanila noong Nov 2010 kasi nakakuha ako ng IPhone 4 agad-agad kahit mahaba ang pila)...yun. Sharing lang.heheh
