  2. She's totally clueless on what a Nurse compare a caregiver!

    3. Kahit 1-min lng yun hnd nya dpat sinagot yun. Time pressured mga tanong that means tntest ang bawat kandidato kung gano cla kabilis mag isip dahil mai aapply din nla yan pag naging public servant na sila regarding decision making. So tntgnan lng nla winnie kung smart ba ang isang kandidato or hnd unfortunately mrs.villar failed

Pathetic.

  8. Fyi, good thing we have a BSN program here in phils. Sa states for example LNP (Licensed nurse practitioner) 2 yrs if studying ang karamihan sa kanila which means mas mataas ang RN kasi 4 yr course yun so mas extensive ang pagaaral. Pag naospital sya magdala sya ng sarili nyang calculator at icompute yung patak ng swero, dose ng gamot at vital signs nya. Sya na din magturok sa sarili nya. Kabuset pakabobsss ng answer ni atey.

    ReplyDelete

    2. Number of nurses being hired in the US significantly went down because of poor performance at the NCLEX these past years due to poor quality of education in the Philippines. Ms Villar is helping further downgrade the Nursing Education system.

    3. visit hospitals, nursing homes and home health agencies sa america, lalo na sa chicago... most of the charge nurses, supervisors, managers and even director of nursing ay mga pilipino... kung sinuman ang campaign manager ni mahal.. este, cynthia villar, malamang, di nya na brief ang candidate nya sa mga ganitong issues.. ano lang bang issue ang kayang sagutin nyan? di yan mananalo sa election... kung ang nagtanong ay si WINnie monsod... ang sumagot ay si LUZthia villar...

  16. What the heck is a room nurse Mrs. Villar?

    ReplyDelete
  17. Hey madam,, You will only realize the importance of COMPETENT NURSES ONCE YOU BECOME A PATIENT....

    Larribel, RN

    ReplyDelete
  18. This person, who doesn't even know what RN stands for, actually has the gall to run for public office???

Room nurse talaga no? Hahahahaah, so clueless, wish she'd acquire some brains first before having the audacity to campaign for herself.

YUCK. This is typical TRAPO Pinoy trash. I hope our kababayans don't vote for her.

    ReplyDelete

  21. Which elementary school did this woman graduate from? She can not differentiate between a caregiver and a nurse? FACT: In some hospitals in the United States nowadays, your application is not even considered if you do not have a bachelors degree in nursing. Fact: In a recent hiring for a registered nurse in one of the biggest and famous hospitals in the US, there were 1000 applicants for the 10 positions being posted. The number of applicants scheduled for the panel interview was reduced to 13. The candidates that were selected had Ph.D's , MBA's and had a bachelors degree in economics, finance and so forth aside from their bachelor's degree in nursing. Fact: A nurse needs critical thinking skills. So for Mrs. Villar and her family I would suggest that if they are admitted to the ER or ICU or hospital please make sure to request for a caregiver not an RN. Do not worry as she will give you your bedpan, diaper and urinal at the same time troubleshoot your ventilator alarms, titrate the multiple inotrope drips to sustain your life and suction your secretions with a yankeur in your ET tube as she is fully equipped with guerilla knowledge and quack doctor skills that you implied. Make sure as well, that you have a ticket to ride or a fast track stairway to heaven, because once your condition deteriorates , I do hope the caregiver knows how to dial 911 in any unit you are admitted in and initiate the ACLS protocol.

  26. Listening to what Mrs Villar has said is a complete waste of my time. It is really obvious that she is totally oblivious of what nurses do in the real world. This is such an appalling concept about what nurse does and totally unprecedented comment coming from a politician like her. She is a complete disgrace to the Philippines and to the entire nursing community. Shame on you Cynthia Villar! I couldn't believe your ignorance is so irritating!

    ReplyDelete
  27. She dosen't know what's she talking about... Anyway, I will not vote for her.

    ReplyDelete
  28. Sad to hear from people who are in an elite society pero wala masyadong alam, ignorance kills your candidacy for that matter. I'm not a nurse but I know how it takes to become a nurse and what a nurse can do to everyone's health, they are part of the therapeutic committe together w the pharmacist and doctors so I must see they play a big role in the healing process of the patient.

  30. Mrs. Villar FYI nurses here in Toronto are; Best Practice Champions, Clinical Teachers, Members of the Board of Colleges of Nurses of Ontario, Researchers, Advance Nurse Practitioners, & the front line Nurses who provide bedside care in ICU, Emergency, Acute Care etc.
FYI Mrs. Villar "BEDSIDE NURSE" like myself means Nurses who provide close contact care to patients needs such as; medication administration, wound care, Vital Signs, IV, blood transfusion, etc... etc... & while providing care we are constantly assessing the patient in order for us to CREATE a careplan, goals & interventions. We collaborate with other Medical Practitioners to make sure our goals in providing patient care are met. Filipino nurses where I work @ Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre in Toronto are respected by the other Allied Healthcare Professionals such as MD's, PT's, OT's, SLP's, APN's.

It is very sad indeed to know that a politician like yourself Mrs. Villar does not know or even realize that our young people who wanted to go to nursing school needed an education obtained in universities & not just a fly by night school mentioned by Winnie.
Do you know Mrs. Villar that Filipino nurses from my time are competitive in any place they are working now because of good education/training they received?

  41. It is obvious that she is absolutely oblivious of what nurses do in the real world, on how nurses work to save lives of people and races, age groups, and gender.. She is a d*sg**ce to the Philippines and to the entire nursing community. It is such an appalling experience to think about, that nobody looks after the nurses, when all their lives were spent looking after other peoples welfare and health. S**me on you Mrs Cynthia Villar! I just hope you realised that when you were little you have been looked after by a nurse at some point in your childhood, and I am pretty sure that they have the expertise they need to take care of you to become what you are now... Think before you open your mouth, just a piece of advice.

  43. We, RN-BSN's in the US still find ourselves cleaning butts, changing linens, assisting patients from bed to the commode, feeding patients, etc.- most people say that these aren't a part of our sworn practice, Mrs. Villar on the other hand, failed to look at Registered Nurses beyond these tasks. This incident left everyone aghast of her ignorance. I've known her for being well educated that is why i searched for this video to hear it for myself.
I do not find it degrading to do the above mentioned tasks, I love my vocation as an RN and part of my fulfillment is taking that extra step to go over and beyond what is expected of me. I became an RN before all these hype about salaries, which by the way, is worth every cent! Let me make it clear though that I also do not see any problem if people chose to become nurses because of money- for as long as they do their jobs with their head, hands & heart.
Again, we do more than inserting IVs, administering medications, delegating and supervising - not because we do not have choices, in fact, we do because nursing is multifaceted (Researchers, Informatics, Analysts, Anesthetists, Specialists, Developers and the list goes on...) don't get stuck with wrong notions, never underestimate nor overestimate anything or anyone, specially if you are running for office.

We nurses studied for 4 years to earn a bachelor's degree, studied for several months to review and earn our license, countless trainings to elevate our skills and expertise, then this "Kokey" creature would bash our profession? Tsk!

  55. Thank you for this ma’am. I just hope you can actually hear yourself while saying this. You don’t know what it takes to be a nurse LANG. I think you just affirmed the thought that nurses choose to work outside the Philippines not just because of better compensation but because more often than that Filipino nurses are highly respected, valued and appreciated in foreign lands than in our own country.
I hope you could come with us in an 8 hour shift, just sit in the corner and watch us as we do our job and ponder on what a nurse LANG can actually do. And by the way ma’am, right at this moment watching your political ad makes my stomach churn. Why? Because what you are saying are purely icing to the cake.
Just a friendly reminder ma'am, please take good care of your health for as long as you can, because sooner or later a nurse's healing hand maybe holding yours.

  56. She disgusts me. First of all, our nurses bust their asses off for a measly salary. My brother is a nurse. They don't mind it kasi they know that once my brother graduates and becomes a nurse (which he is now), he will be able to help people, and probably even save some lives. For Villar to say such insensitive and incredibly stupid statement as that, hindi na ko magtataka if one day she gets sick tapos pabayaan sya ng room nurse nya. I sure hope she doesn't win. Her losing is a huge favor to the nation.

Nurse kami!
