Why the emphasis on side issues like one's sexual preference? Sana naman the badmouthing or mudslinging is on one's being corrupt and ineffective para relevant to whether that person deserves to be a public servant or not.

As to the real orientation of Sen. Lacson, panoorin niyo na lang yung famous video clip wherein he was being shown calmly walking in the airport to fly out of the country.
