And have you heard of the word "concept"? They're just playing around it! Don't take it too seriously. And haller, kailangan halata talaga na may boobs sila. Kapag nag-sag, ang pangit naman dba?! At bago magdunong-dunungan, know and learn the ropes of the mag biz. Unless, you want to start your own publishing house, then go ahead and do what you want with your "idealistic" cover.

My problem with Kathryn (kaya rin siguro di ko siya magustuhan), is when thrown in a tableau of other stars, she doesn't really stand out, not even stick out for that matter. There's something about her that's just unremarkable. Truth is, kung di lang talaga magaling mag-market ng stars ang ABS-CBN, this kid is rather forgettable.
abs-cbn stars are a lot better than those in the other networks. Kathryn is beautiful, she is the only one who is not mestiza yet she is very classy. sorry but the gma stars are so tacky, and their dramas are so pathetically made.

I was pitting Kathryn against the other gorgeous ABS-CBN girls in this same cover. Also, that Mega Magazine cover from last year (July 2011 if I remember it right) where she was with other young actresses, came to mind. It was an objective observation. She could fade in the background when she's among other celebrities.
I agree, Kathryn is not one to stand out in a sea of beautiful faces, as we can clearly take from this cover. I find her acting in her current teleserye kind of one-dimensional as well.

I don't see the similiarity between Shaina and Julia. Julia has a more commanding presence and her face looks mabait but not kakawawain, if you know what I mean. I totally agree. The cover was way too dense for these girls. The hair, make up and gowns (even the set) seemed too much. Masyadong heavy. Pwede naman PEG ang glamour but done in a irreverent and fresh way to compliment the youth of these girls. They kinda look old in this cover. A cover like this should have been left to professional models.

ReplyDeleteI don't see the similiarity between Shaina and Julia. Julia has a more commanding presence and her face looks mabait but not kakawawain, if you know what I mean. You are right about Shaina and the Megan of Aryana. They do have the same look. Sila, you know if you push them they will run to a corner and cry.

ReplyDeletedislike...these girls are beautiful naman eh and marunong umarte...kaso bakit kasi ganyan, pinatanda yung look nila, tinge of brown pa yung color ng damit...somber pa yung look...glam dapat, hindi boring..para tuloy silang matatandang dalaga na walang nagmamahal ...a magazine cover should entice...these girls are young...leave the heavy makeup--heavy gowns--- and projection to professional models...pag sila kim chiu, dapat masaya at yun tipong you want to have the dress na suot nila, the make up na ginamit, etc. etc. sino ba kasi may kagagawan nyan? tsk tsk...

DeleteI totally agree. The cover was way too dense for these girls. The hair, make up and gowns (even the set) seemed too much. Masyadong heavy. Pwede naman PEG ang glamour but done in a irreverent and fresh way to compliment the youth of these girls. They kinda look old in this cover. A cover like this should have been left to professional models.

ReplyDeletesiguro wala talagang magawang ibang paraan yung dr nya dahil sobrang payat naman talaga. pero sana try pa rin ni kim ipaayos ulit. pangit tingnan kasi. wala namang masama magpa-enhance kung ikagaganda naman ng isang tao. kaya lang sa case ni kim pinagtatawanan at lalo lang syang nilait ng mga tao.

Yung hinaharap ni Kim Chiu hindi na talagang maitatangging dumaan sa retoke, tsaka yung mata niya trying hard to be fierce. Si Kathryn naman maluwag yung gown, baka nag-exchange sila ni Kim Chiu ng damit tsaka as usual blunt siya & hindi marunong magproject, parang kaluluwa lang. Si Bea,ayos na sana kaya lang kung saan saan nakatingin yung mga mata. Si Julia lang talaga yung fit for the concept photoshoot,at least dito sa cover na to.
