Fashionista? Oh you mean social climber number xxxxxxxxxx9? Haha! Ganyan ang gawain ng mga social climbers na di kagandahan, maging "fashionista" or "stylist" - di ba hipon ng call me maybe girls? It seems to work very well though haha!
FP and avid readers.. di ko knows msyado ang fashion industry..pero diba pwde nmang may ideas or pegs yung client for d gown..
Aside from that aakalain ng iba na sariling gawa niya yun when nagcopy lang pala sya. Makabara ka di mo naman naiintindihan. Makabara lang.
Inspiration, as only some elements are the same. Pero compared to the clean lines and crisp details of the original, the re-interpreted dress looks cheap, unflattering, and seems to be made of electrical tape. ugh.
I agree with some of the posts. It looks like what my mom used to do: gugupit ng damit sa magazine at ipapagaya sa sastre... and this one is definitely not even a very good copy.. di tulad nong kay Rajo atbp.
These so-called "designers" should be ashamed of themselves for boldly ripping off designs from houses of fashion. They should be called tailor or seamstress for no amount of creative input was reflected in their designs. It's blatant stealing!! They should be called pseudo-designers...and yeah, inspiration is a lame excuse for copying...for real.
Wats happening sa mga filipino designers?? kaya pla hinde sila masyado nakikilala puro immitation lng, sana magkaron cla ng sariling mind to create their own styles.. malay ntn maging national artist pa kau
inspiration. e lahat naman ng ginagaya, inspiration e kaay they imitate it. but the original looks better (but of course) the local dress looks boring. almost the same tho..konti lang ang twist.
Imitation, and a badly done one. :))
Di ko masabi kung ano exactly, sorry kc either inspiration or immitation di maganda ung result plus ung shoes nya di man lng bumagay. If she's the fashion editor of that magazine she should know how to look right whatever the theme of the party is. She should know how to stand out kahit pa basahan lng sinuot nya kaso hindi.
Affected much? Your partly correct, pwede magkaroon ng local fashion expert. BUT the purported fashion expert in question, si ate na mukhang nakacosplay lang ng bride of chuckie is NOT a fashion expert. Obvious naman. So it's not a matter of colonial mentality in this case. Simple lang naman. She does not have the same talent as the ones mentioned by AnonymousJuly 16, 2012 11:29 AM
Cheap Inspiration, kasi parang may mali sa pag kakagawa im not an expert on clothes making or whatever you call it pero parang may kulang.
tama ang sabi ng iba dito ...how can filipino designers penetrate the international market kung puro copycats.....sana magkaroon naman ng originality or kung inspiration eh inspired lang talaga , may look like it came from the same collection but atleast may elements na maiiba. enough to distinguish that it came from a different designer.
Brava FP! Niloloko nila ang sambayanan at ginagawang laughing stock ang atin Fashion Industry by churning out obvious imitations and cheap knock-offs and claiming them to be "original work". Charina Sarte and her ilk ought to be ashamed!
Yung cut at color scheme the same. Naiba lang style sa gitna mas simple pero the idea is still the same.
Btw what's with the blonde hair?
heller! if there's any indication yung mga cartoon signature nila sa sa preview magazine, naka copy couture din. actually palagi nila nilalagay noon yung naka gown yung cartoon character versions nila, and take note, in versace lang naman, charot. as for daryl maangas daw yan. kung maka utos daw akala mo kung sino.
I think its the editors themselves know what a knock off is. They seem to be well versed with the fashion industry. What happened to the preview ball, shldnt preview approved lovi's outfit beforehand? These effin designers na paulit ulot at gasgas nlng kahit super plain or walang kwenta maganda daw!
your nothing bat a second rig, trying heart, copycut!
ReplyDeletetsk
DeleteRig? Langis?
DeleteHahaha
ReplyDeleteThat's Daryl Chang of Preview Magazine! Hehe.
DeleteAy hindi ko sya knows. But I know Carine Roitfeld, Grace Coddington, Anna Wintour--yong mga tipong totoong sikat ba :)

DeleteAnon 6:34 true what you've said
DeleteBakit kelangan mambalahura ng tao di ba? This can be a better place kung walang nega sa mundo.
Mas madali sa pinoy mang husga kesa pumuri. Bakit kaya?
inspiration lang ata
ReplyDeleteImitation :(
ReplyDeletePretty fugly imitation!
ReplyDeleteInspiration.
ReplyDeleteFP and avid readers.. di ko knows msyado ang fashion industry..pero diba pwde nmang may ideas or pegs yung client for d gown..
Seems like these Preview girls like their KNOCK-OFFS! Kaya Best Dressed nila yung suot kinopya sa Givenchy.
ReplyDeleteMaybe we should start sending these pics to the original designers who are being ripped off.
I agree! We should start sending these pics to the original designers who are being ripped off! Kakaloka!
DeletePaulit ulit??
DeleteComments kelangan talaga kopya den?
DeleteInspiration
ReplyDeleteInspiration.. D mshadong copycat unlike the past posts hir. Pero da who itong nagsuot na to?? Lol
ReplyDeleteA so called fashion editor who thinks her hair color suits her fabulously eh sa totoo lang she looks like a......
Deletei dont care about the dress anymore, distracted ako sa nagsuot. she's a barbie in bride of chuckie's face and body.
Deletei thought it was maverick
DeleteAno ba naman yan! Puro panggagaya naman mga Pinoy oh
ReplyDeleteawe! I'ts almost the same but the other one is more Classy..
ReplyDeletewhich one was published first?
ReplyDeleteInspiration.
ReplyDeleteThe one whose wearing Noel Crisostomo's creation is Daryl Chang, the Fashion Editor of Preview Magazine.
ReplyDeleteThe one whose wearing Noel Crisostomo's creation is Daryl Chang, the Fashion Editor of Preview Magazine.
ReplyDeletea poor reflection of that magazine then... a fashion editor wearing a cheap knock-off? kadiri.
Deleteimitation. nakakahiya!
ReplyDeleteMukhang 85% imitation at 15% inspired.
ReplyDeletePag nagpapatahi ako, I usually have a picture of the dress I want. Pinapagaya ko lang. Is that not allowed? Piracy na po ba yun?
ReplyDeleteEh bkt pa sa kilalang designer? Hinihire ngs sila for their creativity.
DeleteTeh, do you parade your mga patahi clothes sa red carpet and claim it's by some edgy new designer? Are you a self-proclaimed fashionista?
ReplyDeletei totally agree. Bad copy, parang class AAA na Louis vuitton. Ung nabibili sa tabi tabi.
DeleteAgree with the electric tape comment!
Deletewow, only "one" kaso "elements". Gulo mo!
ReplyDeleteYeah except yung client niya dito is a fashion editor. She should have known better! Mas nakakahiya sha than the designer!
DeleteWell, that's what happens kapag ang editors ay hired for their connections as opposed to natural talent and knowledge
DeleteDi naman masyadong magkamukha. Stop making a fuss over it.
Next time kase, wag manggagaya..
Deleteinspimitation yan hahaha... na inspired gumawa ng imitation aka parang sariling version nung original dress
ReplyDeleteKorek!
DeleteI agree with some of the posts. It looks like what my mom used to do: gugupit ng damit sa magazine at ipapagaya sa sastre... and this one is definitely not even a very good copy.. di tulad nong kay Rajo atbp.

ReplyDeleteits not pure imitation but poor imitation
ReplyDeleteThis is a total let down and she's a fashion editor at that!
ReplyDeleteinspiration, but the dress is ugly. it will probably look better kung long legged yung model ni Noel.
ReplyDeleteLocal stylists and editors LOOOVE fakes. Inspect what they wear and carry. Dami dyan namemeke that's why they don't mind knock-offs!
ReplyDeleteas is usually the case. imitation. kulang na lang made in china.
