I know someone who actually drinks KFC gravy with a straw (not me, I drown my rice with gravy-that's how I like my food). It's a little odd but understandable, their gravy is good! So what if that's how some people like to eat and that's what they want to eat? To each his own. :)

I agree with this one. The concept of the show is to have fun by making fun of really silly things.
And just to say something about comments na "nakakahiya ang mga Pilipino" blah blah. Wake up and read people! Every country has something to say against the other. Imagine sa China nga they eat eggs boiled in urine of ten-year old and below boys. And even sa States, they themselves laugh at silly contests like fastest BRA removal. So hindi ibig sabihin na na-mention tayo, sobrang kahiya-hiya tayo.
Let's not kill our nationalism just because of a very shallow thing. Bakit ba tayo mahihiya sa kanila, if that's who we are? As long as we are not bringing any harm to anyone, we don't have to change who we are just to please other people. Found this funny actually. Some people need to get a sense of humor. Loosen up, people! That segment was not meant to degrade Filipinos but rather it just magnified the stupidity of the cheese top burger idea.
It's funny. Funny naman talaga why they would debut a product like that. Why??? I don't find the joke insulting kasi they also used Pinoys in the parody. This product must make like the rice sandwich and disappear.. Some things are just not meant to be.
Haven't tried it yet but I heard from friends that there's no actual cheese on top of the bun but the cheese is baked with the bun so it's not messy to eat.

DeleteJimmy Kimmel is a big fan of Filipinos. It's the product that he's spoofing and not Filipinos. I think the Pinoys in the US are actually laughing at this, and who knows, the folks who wrote this piece must be Pinoys. Yung manok na sinawsaw sa Coke, parody yan to how weird the cheese on top burger is.

Let's not kill our nationalism just because of a very shallow thing. Bakit ba tayo mahihiya sa kanila, if that's who we are? As long as we are not bringing any harm to anyone, we don't have to change who we are just to please other people. Dun nga natin ma-eearn yung respeto nila, kasi kahit ano pang sabihin nila sa atin, tayo mismo may respeto sa sarili.

DeleteIt's funny. Funny naman talaga why they would debut a product like that. Why??? I don't find the joke insulting kasi they also used Pinoys in the parody. This product must make like the rice sandwich and disappear.. Some things are just not meant to be.
ReplyDeleteHaven't tried it yet but I heard from friends that there's no actual cheese on top of the bun but the cheese is baked with the bun so it's not messy to eat.
