Next to Whitney Houston, Jessica is second best among all the artists who sang the Star-Spangled Banner. Only many of her lyrics were not clear and the tempo is too fast. But the high notes were sung with confidence.
Like or dislike the way she delivered the song! Hindi kung nagustuhan mo ba na kumanta sya ng national anthem ng America! Ang hina mo naman mag analyze! Pa shunga shunga!
American Citizen naman sya. Wala namang masama kung kinanta nya yun. Di naman ibig sabihin nun na tinalikuran na nya yung pagiging Filipino at Mexican nya. In fact, pwede rin syang kumanta para kay PAcquiao o kaya Marquez. TARAY!!!
Under American Law, you are considered an American if you are born in the USA. Blood of parents are not considered. So her Filipino and Mexican ancestry is irrelevant.
Under the Philippine Magna Carta for the rights of Women, kahit sa America ka pinanganak at Pilipina ang mother mo, Pilipino ka pa din at pwede ka magkaroon ng Philippine Passport. (I was there during the Senate hearing of the said bill).
Why is this an issue? What's to like or dislike in Jessica singing the Star Spangled Banner song? It's HER national anthem. That said, she sang her national anthem well
