While most universities are having difficulties finding sponsors for their sports programs, this team from a university has found a solution to this problem. The team consists of A (primary team) and B (secondary team and pool for A). Most players coming from B are encouraged by the coaching staff to have gay sponsors (GS) in exchange for more playing time and possible inclusion in A. The GS and the B players are then invited to dinner, where negotiations happen.
The GS are allowed to watch during practices for a fee ranging from 2 to 3k. If the amount cannot be raised, the coaching staff will throw out the GS from the gym. If the GS is very generous, the coaching staff gets freebies and even a monthly allowance.
The coaching staff actually encourages this culture of having a GS. Rather than provide the allowance for the players, the staff will look for a GS instead. The players coming from the provinces have no idea of such a practice so most of them get shocked when they learn that they have to go beyond sports as well.
hmmmnn.. this has been going on for so long... :(( no offense meant for the GS but ....
ReplyDeleteOh my!!! sino itech!??? more clues pls!!
ReplyDeleteschool ni horsie?
ReplyDeleteparang hindi..based on the title.. either the RED in Recto or the pink in Mendiola :)
Deletekalerqui! si very giddy horsey sponsor din kaya?
ReplyDeletejumbled initials of this BI??? :o
ReplyDeleteSilanganan !?!?!
ReplyDeleteNCAA school ni Emilio?
ReplyDeleteIs this the pink university?
Deleteoh wow. is this one of the schools in the UBelt Area?
SEE YOU!
ReplyDeleteay ang galing.
DeleteUniversity of the Ist????
ReplyDeleteEast it? U know :))
ReplyDeleteung dati ko din school may gs e. so normal lang sya. what is sad is hindi alam ng players na nabubugaw na pla sila.
ReplyDeleteoy kadiri 'to ha! eto talaga yung pwedeng sabihing 'ibibubugaw'! is there really such a thing in the philippines???
ReplyDeleteMigad, nasa title ba ang mga initials?
ReplyDeleteVery generous talaga si giddy :))
ReplyDeleteif there's an ounce of truth in this BI, it should be reported to CHED, these kids are most probably minors and that coaching staff is a pimp, it should be investigated, not by senate i hope - wala namang nangyayari sa senado
ReplyDeleteso the legendary throwing handkerchief for pick-ups coming from this school is true then? whatcha think?
ReplyDeleteYes, during exam period ansabeh.
DeleteYES...this is true...very very true...specially dun sa pink branch nila sa makati...
DeleteWHAT THE?! grabeeee naman talaga panahon ngayon...
ReplyDeleteHow industrious lol. Are the coaching staff preparing their players to join the kapamilya station? haha! Seriously kawawa naman ung athletes. But I think the ex husband of a very well known and tactless host/endorser should know about this system, since he came from it...
ReplyDeletenetwork war pa din teh? di ka makaget over?! kalurqui!
Deleteang may problema dito yung coaching staff. as long as wag pumayag mga players na "you know what" with the GS, eh di maglaway ang mga GS na yan hanggang gusto nila!
Is this the middle school? Guessing from the jumbled initials in the title. E, Scholar kasi ako :)
ReplyDeleteshould this not be brought to the attention of sports organizers? will we nurture this practice that looks at gays as cash registers? grrr..
ReplyDeletethe bigger issue here is a culture that condones, if not outright encourages, the exploitation of student-athletes while university officials look the other way. the gays can take their money and throw it elsewhere for all we care. but leave the students alone. nakakadiri.
DeleteI graduated 2005. In my 4 years in my school plang, laganap na ito! minsan athletes din ang nagkukusa or trip na my GS sila! kasi nga nmn aside sa the school gave them allowance my bonus psila sa GS nila! there is this athlete guy nga nagulat nlng kami ang ganda ng kotse e he can go to school lang nmn because of the scholarship, no offense.
Lol
ReplyDeleteCentro ng bugawan?
ReplyDeleteI think this is the school in Mendiola, jumbled yung words sa title.
ReplyDeleteim not surprised by this issue. i have a friend wherein un husband nya un pimp sa isang basketball team. and shes telling me na some gay artists are sponsoring players. minsan daw its more than that pa. alam nyo na un. sad but true.
ReplyDeleteOh I see.... See you =)
ReplyDeleteewwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww
ReplyDelete-tofu
DeleteRed Warriors or Pink Scorpions??????????????? Anyone??????????????
ReplyDeleteIto ba ang gitnang unibersidad??????????????????? anyone????????????
ReplyDeleteMendiola
Yan ang kultura ng mga basketball players, sa sobrang inggitan nila they use their looks to get money from GS. I am speaking from experience, bf ko is a varsity :-)
ReplyDeleteGS ka?
Deletehahaha agree.. sa kahit anung school na medyo indi 'napagtutuunan' ng pansin ang basketball team, sa GS sila kumakapit.. hehe kadalasan inside the school muna, ex. gay profs (discreet and not) hahaha
Deleteso may GS din ang jowa mo? Haha. speaking from experience, kamo. :)
Deletesya yata ang GS, ayiheeee... hahahaha
Deleteuso yan, pakyaw na ang uso.. eat all you can
ReplyDeleteBaka NCAA?
UAAP toh or NCCA
FYI lng
Deletedi ito school ni giddy kasi provided sila ng tinolang manok na may-ari, not as lavish though as the blue and the green and now the yellow/blue owned by the mega tycoon.
dati pa uso ung ganyan.. when i was still in college some of my guy friends who play for their school also has gs.. players of uaap and ncaa sanay na sa ganyan. they call gs as sponsor.. msmo mga player my gsto dn nyan. extra income.. very generous kc mga gs they can give cars and some even gave properties in the province.
ReplyDeletePINK money enough said!
f o c malayo o gitna
ReplyDeletemalayo na eskuwelahan o nasa gitna
ReplyDeleteSilangan University or Gitna University. Sino dito?
ReplyDeleteOhhh ! mahgaaad ! pink univ.
DeleteK...
ReplyDeleteSO KABUHAYAN SHOWCASE PALA ANG LABANAN DITO? WILLIE REVILLAME, PCSO at EAT BULAGA ANG MGA PEG ng mga GS na toh ha! HAHAHAHA KALERQUI!
ReplyDeleteI am from the PINK SCHOOL AND I know a player, so THIS IS NOT TRUE.
ReplyDeletemay possibility na di aminin ng kakilala mong player yun.. just saying.. =)
DeleteFYI. At kahit university kami, WALA KAMI SA UUAP. So it's not our school.
ReplyDelete-pink escolarina.
University of Concordia??? charot lang hahaha!
ReplyDelete-H
Even if wala kayo sa UAAP doesn't mean wala ng gay sponsors ang athletes niyo. The BI doesn't say anything about games but of trainings.
ReplyDeleteHahaha! Pink University... School ko 'yon, ah! :D
ReplyDeleteSige nga, matanong nga mga may kakilalang player doon. Hahaha! :)) :))
FYI. I am from this school. I have a friend na naging player dyan and WALA SIYANG GANYAN. STOP THIS. And most of our players ay pagala gala nga lan sa campus ee.
HAHAHAHAHA!
ReplyDeletewell this has been going on for quite some time already.
ReplyDeletethey say it's "normal", since a really good sports team needs a really good funding.
in this case it's from gs.
i know this guy, a varsity from a men's basketball team somewhere in u-belt, told me that some of his teammates have sg or they called it "sponki"
i don't know if having a "sponki" was influenced by the coaches or staff or just by the players themselves.
C'mon let us not be a hypocrite, almost all college varsity member are in this kind of business 10k-20k for a member of the A team of the basketball and 5k for a volleyball player. Feu, ceu, ue, ust are in one circle while ateneo and lasalle belongs to a different circle. Ask the popular tv host of a noontime show cause i can tell you he's a legend. If you have some money to burn then go, they are not easy to maintain especially if they have girlfriends. Plus if you're looking for a fresh specimen then you're in the wrong place. Sad to say but its true
