of the three big stations (uy big daw ang TV 5) this is the one that's most polished - production-wise and the catchy-est --- and i especially like how they made santa clause female then blow her up in the end --- SUPA LIKE
much much better than gma's! may effort and original ang song. although, di ko pa din kilala most of their artists. sa dami ng na-pirate (at pina-pirate pa) nila from ABS, sana mag-rate na sila sa 2012!
its nice. for their 1st x-mas id it is good. But i still like the kapamilya. then this one. for the other station ewan ko bakit lahat ng id nila parang hirap nilang gawin
I have always been a kapamilya and seeing the former kapamilyas on the tv5 makes me sigh.well i just hope tv5 improves their signal to make the switch worth it.

The ABS theme connects families across countries, given that each family at least knows of an OFW working abroad, and despite the distance, they are very connected by technology, and the same TV shows via TFC and with the Philippines' "best celebration of Christmas." So the message and supporting reasons are clear and more emotionally relevant (there wasn't even a mention of the channel in the jingle). The visuals even support this message: one scene where family members across nations celebrate the same Christmas feast via technology, using split screen effects.
For TV5, they just said it's much fun (times 5) with an alternative TV station. Reasons given? Dito mas bida ka, mas alaga ka, walang bola? Huh, that's it? Very forced messaging, so it was difficult to have an emotional connection to the jingle. After you watch it, you would only notice and be awed by the stars that they pirated (including non-showbiz soccer players), but for the impact of the message, you would get a sense of "ano raw at bakit?"
Yung isang station, kebs. Sayangin ko pa oras ko dun. The feedback somehow reflects the effort the station put behind their station ID.
Ok lang sa effect parang old station ID ng abs kaya di ka na rin maeexcite panuorin kc wala namang bago, old theme ang peg, pero kudos pa rin to tv5 kc pinag aksayahan pa rin ng panahon and effort compare sa gma7, na wala lang, may masabi lang na may station id

I agree with Anonymous December 8, 2011 2:27 AM. Parang walang sense yung message ng TV5 compared to ABS. Parang gusto lang magparinig na mas masaya sa TV5 kaya pagka-expire ng contract niyo, lipat na kayo sa TV5.
ok naman...kudos sa tv5, binigyan nya ng magagandang offer ang mga artista. parang ordinary employee lang din mga artista, kung san ang mataas ang sahod at may contract, dun ka. wala namang masama kung gustuhing kumita ng malaki ng isang tao. kabog 2 other networks, at least may iba na sila kakumpitensya para pag igihan nilang gumawa ng magandang shows, di nalang laging remake at pantaserye ang mga programa nila...di ko lang type si shalani at willie sa 5 hehehe
DISLIKE! DISLIKE! DISLIKE! Not because ABS always produces the best XMAS Station IDs, kse ang pangit nung song, di maganda yung beat. Tapos yung mga actors prang di sabay sa beat ng kanta ang sway, yung message di nman about xmas, it's about network wars eh. Tsaka lastly, poor acting ng mga actors hahaha ang fake.
its festive and magical but the message is kinda promotion of their network unlike sa ABS its all about us Filipinos either your kapamilya, kapuso or kapatid and thats Christmas.
ok lng just a copy paste of kapamilya's past stations IDs over the years the only difference is the concept, i like kapamilya's concept than this, we can always say :krismas mas masaya like everyday but its really different when it comes to Filipinos celebrating christmas ;-)
Production-wise, it's obvious na pinagkagastusan. Maganda. But I hate the song and the message. Instead na maging united and tama na muna yang competition ngayong Pasko, kabaligtaran pa yung message ng station ID na to. Instead na yung "Christ" sa Christmas ang i-emphasize nila, pinili pa nila ang "mas mas mas"! Booo!
Like. TV5 is showcasing the stuff they acquired from the Lopezes including kuryente. Teka ba't nandyan si Goma? Only GMA (TAPE, Inc.) talents are allowed to appear since they don't have a contract with GMA.
technically, it's a good ad (obvious take-off from the previous ads of the other stations.) if only their shows will reach that quality, then tv 5 can be good competition. think of it this way, the same owner of tv5 controls electricity, water, and communications so 2 and 7 have to be nice. tv history tells us that tv 5 is doing what abs did after 1986. the big stars who brought money to the station (who most of you have been calling has-beens) were given exclusive contracts. thus, laming the tv industry. do you know that the first aga-claudine team up happened in gma and not in abs? kaya, bago kaya magtawag ng pirata, alamin ang kasaysayan. hindi nagrereact ang abs sa pagmove sa tv5, napansin niyo?
it's like watching people being at the wrong place this time. they used to be at a happier note. this is just awkward and sad at the same time. i really like Dolphy being at abs..

i haven't seen the tv5 station id. but based on the comments above, parang hindi na ako interested to watch it. ch2's station id is so touching. nakarelate ako because my family is in U.S. and i'm the only one here in Manila...
I agree with Anonymous; Dec. 8, 2011, 2:27 AM as far as message and content is concerned. Both x'mas station IDs are glossy and shot well but ABS-CBN's message is far substantial than that of TV5. Tho no big fan of the former, I think they've always been consistent with their concepts and execution. Family-oriented and would always strike a sensitive part in any Filipino's heart.
Also, agree din ako sa posts ng iba na karamihan dun sa TV5 na ID eh... 'has beens' na... some still good, the rest, just 'has beens' ... just saying...
I'm a kapamilya but i like TV5's station id. And I like the graphics as well. But for me, the BEST Christmas TV station ID is ABS-CBN's 2009 Star ng Pasko =)
it's catchy and nice. i like it. of course ABS CBN is far better, dapat lang, they have been doing this station id thingie for the longest time. and magaling ang creatives talaga nila.. but TV5 is better than GMA.. GMA puro starlets and not interesting.
TV5 reminds me of ABS CBN, they pirated big stars, spend so much money to produce good shows and build stars..
If TV5 will extend its viewership outside PH, im sure it will be a hit kasi lahat ng artista ay familiar faces.

Too self-serving. Unlike ABS-CBN's which promotes Filipino values in their Christmas ID, this one panders to the network only.

ok lets face it the CGI sucks and people are plastering fake smiles to their faces while being cheery about xmas.. haha im too nega naman dba? pare-pareho lang nman yan sila eh.. at least tatlo na ang TV stations ngayon at hinde puro kapuso o kapamilya na away ng away and in the end sila din naman ang nakikinabang.. our atttachment with the stations sometimes baffle me..

medyo off pero for me the best example of station id is ung sa abs years ago. something to do with the rain tapos ung song goes like "sukob na, halika na. sabay tayo sa payong ko." super tagal na kasi grade school pa lang ako but i could recall it.(and i just took the bar ha so that was like eons ago)
ABS christmas id is more conceptualized, the message has more substance...TV5 is somewhat like copying and they just do a better treatment in the production...while that of GMA, obviously the concept and production is uncreatively done...
well, sooner or later this station will be a blast. they have the money! mukhang pera? hmmm....eh dun sila bumuhay eh. so kung sino ang may magandang offer eh go sago, diba? matagal na ang abs and this station is just starting ganun din yan abs dati diba? basta kung saan sila masaya eh di let it be. basta nakakapag-aliw sila ng mga tao yun ang importante. malagayang pasko. ;-)
This is better than GMA 7, na kung saan simula ng umalis si Louie Ignacio, they couldn't churn out station id's that are great and meaningful compared to before....But TV5 often lacks the originality and just borrows ID from ABS-CBN....di ba nga?..Ang Kapatid ay isang Kapamilya!!! hahaha

production value - check, like! gusto ko kasi halos lahat ng stars nila andun. kahit mga d-listers nila. no one felt left out. di ba sabi ni lorna t e ayaw nya sa station id kasi ilang oras mo shoshoot tapos ilang seconds lang sa tv, pero kinain nya sinabi nya. mas gusto nya ang galomorosa kesa minsan lang kitang iibigin ha. at si nora ha, walang takot sa spot nya. hahahaha.
message - dislike! kasi hindi pangchristmas ang message. pang ganid. pabor sa mga lumang sikat kasi mafefeel nila na sikat pa rin talaga sila kasi nga mas bida sila sa tv5.

Abs pa rin ang the BEST. Halos lahat ng talent ng tv5 galing Abs. pwedeng sabihing sister station ng ABS ang TV5 ahihihihi :) Personally di ko type un pagsasayaw ni sharon sa station id ng 5. You gotta give it to TV5. They've been on-air for barely 2 years and yet, they managed to get a lot of big actors, big talents and mga foundation na sa industriya.
This Christmas station ID is a testament that TV5 is ready to face the two big networks head on. In less than 2 years, they made their presence felt. And we have to admit they are getting aggressive and good. Otherwise, we wouldn't be even viewing and talking about this.
kamusta naman ang quality ng shows ng mga "big" stars (noon)? kung di trying hard eh talagang pangit. ni di nga ata nakakapagpasok ng pera. baka lugi pa ang kumpanya. laki ng perang nilalabas pero lugi ang ROI (return of investment).

@Jabz -- i agree :) iba na kasi ang focus ng ABS(i think) with the station ID. mas may puso siya and dedicated to the OFW Filipinos kasi totoo naman talaga na mas dumadami na ang lumalabas ng bansa to support their family. dahil kapamilya network sila they wanted to let everybody know na it doesn't matter kahit nasaan ka sa mundo ang pagmamahal sa pamilya parin ang mangingibabaw. bow ako sa creative team nila kasi they were able to incorporate being a kapamilya network sa kapamilyang pinoy so instead of all about ABS-CBN(no need na) they just had a single theme na kapamilya theme dahil mas binigyan nila ng importance being a kapamilya kaysa showing ABS-CBN sila. Yung GMA ewan napaka walang puso yung TV5 naman mas binigyan ng halaga ang pag advertise na mas masaya sa TV5. Ano ba ang TV5? if kapamilya? kapuso? wala ata eh hehe siguro dapat humanap sila.

ReplyDeleteThe ABS theme connects families across countries, given that each family at least knows of an OFW working abroad, and despite the distance, they are very connected by technology, and the same TV shows via TFC and with the Philippines' "best celebration of Christmas." So the message and supporting reasons are clear and more emotionally relevant (there wasn't even a mention of the channel in the jingle). The visuals even support this message: one scene where family members across nations celebrate the same Christmas feast via technology, using split screen effects.
For TV5, they just said it's much fun (times 5) with an alternative TV station. Reasons given? Dito mas bida ka, mas alaga ka, walang bola? Huh, that's it? Very forced messaging, so it was difficult to have an emotional connection to the jingle. After you watch it, you would only notice and be awed by the stars that they pirated (including non-showbiz soccer players), but for the impact of the message, you would get a sense of "ano raw at bakit?"
Yung isang station, kebs. Sayangin ko pa oras ko dun. The feedback somehow reflects the effort the station put behind their station ID.
Ok lang sa effect parang old station ID ng abs kaya di ka na rin maeexcite panuorin kc wala namang bago, old theme ang peg, pero kudos pa rin to tv5 kc pinag aksayahan pa rin ng panahon and effort compare sa gma7, na wala lang, may masabi lang na may station id

ok naman...kudos sa tv5, binigyan nya ng magagandang offer ang mga artista. parang ordinary employee lang din mga artista, kung san ang mataas ang sahod at may contract, dun ka. wala namang masama kung gustuhing kumita ng malaki ng isang tao. kabog 2 other networks, at least may iba na sila kakumpitensya para pag igihan nilang gumawa ng magandang shows, di nalang laging remake at pantaserye ang mga programa nila...di ko lang type si shalani at willie sa 5 hehehe

ReplyDeleteLike. TV5 is showcasing the stuff they acquired from the Lopezes including kuryente. Teka ba't nandyan si Goma? Only GMA (TAPE, Inc.) talents are allowed to appear since they don't have a contract with GMA.
ReplyDeletetechnically, it's a good ad (obvious take-off from the previous ads of the other stations.) if only their shows will reach that quality, then tv 5 can be good competition. think of it this way, the same owner of tv5 controls electricity, water, and communications so 2 and 7 have to be nice. tv history tells us that tv 5 is doing what abs did after 1986. the big stars who brought money to the station (who most of you have been calling has-beens) were given exclusive contracts. thus, laming the tv industry. do you know that the first aga-claudine team up happened in gma and not in abs? kaya, bago kaya magtawag ng pirata, alamin ang kasaysayan. hindi nagrereact ang abs sa pagmove sa tv5, napansin niyo?

Both x'mas station IDs are glossy and shot well but ABS-CBN's message is far substantial than that of TV5. Tho no big fan of the former, I think they've always been consistent with their concepts and execution. Family-oriented and would always strike a sensitive part in any Filipino's heart.

I'm a kapamilya but i like TV5's station id. And I like the graphics as well. But for me, the BEST Christmas TV station ID is ABS-CBN's 2009 Star ng Pasko =)

ReplyDeleteok lets face it the CGI sucks and people are plastering fake smiles to their faces while being cheery about xmas.. haha im too nega naman dba? pare-pareho lang nman yan sila eh.. at least tatlo na ang TV stations ngayon at hinde puro kapuso o kapamilya na away ng away and in the end sila din naman ang nakikinabang.. our atttachment with the stations sometimes baffle me..

ReplyDeletemedyo off pero for me the best example of station id is ung sa abs years ago. something to do with the rain tapos ung song goes like "sukob na, halika na. sabay tayo sa payong ko." super tagal na kasi grade school pa lang ako but i could recall it.(and i just took the bar ha so that was like eons ago)
ABS christmas id is more conceptualized, the message has more substance...TV5 is somewhat like copying and they just do a better treatment in the production...while that of GMA, obviously the concept and production is uncreatively done...

To begin with as i can remember kapamilya nagpauso ng piratahan Sharon originally was with Ch. 13 pinirate ng dos.cna richard tinapon ng dos sa seven. Ruffa was with ch7 originally na pinirata ng dos, actually 13 originally na napunta sa 7 then sa 2 then sa 5 kaya tantanan na ang utang na loob ekek dahil dos yata nagpauso ng pagpirata sa mga taartits....

ReplyDeletedi naman CHRISTmas spirit at Paskong Pinoy prino-promote nito kundi yung station nila. umpisa pa lang eh may halo ng network promotion. agree din ako, walang connect at recall ito. gathering din ng mga laos na at da who. sorry, pero fail. di sa lahat ng panahon nadadaan sa pagiging techie at kung ano-anong chorva. problema nito concept.

Halos lahat ng talent ng tv5 galing Abs. pwedeng sabihing sister station ng ABS ang TV5 ahihihihi :) Personally di ko type un pagsasayaw ni sharon sa station id ng 5. Very sharon talaga ang moves. nakakairita. sana bagong dance step ang ginawa ni sharon. di na ako fan ni sharon since lumipat sya sa tv5. Sa GMA, forget it. it's really forgettable.

ReplyDeleteYou gotta give it to TV5. They've been on-air for barely 2 years and yet, they managed to get a lot of big actors, big talents and mga foundation na sa industriya.
ReplyDeleteThis Christmas station ID is a testament that TV5 is ready to face the two big networks head on. In less than 2 years, they made their presence felt. And we have to admit they are getting aggressive and good. Otherwise, we wouldn't be even viewing and talking about this.
Good job TV5. Galing ni MVP.

ReplyDeletekamusta naman ang quality ng shows ng mga "big" stars (noon)? kung di trying hard eh talagang pangit. ni di nga ata nakakapagpasok ng pera. baka lugi pa ang kumpanya. laki ng perang nilalabas pero lugi ang ROI (return of investment).

kudos napagsuot nila si sharon ng red. madalas kasi naka black un feeling pumapayat hahaha. TOP 1 ABS CBN, TOP 2 TV5 and top 10 gma 7. walang kwenta GMA badudels tlaga mga tao dun. hindi nag iisip. hahaha. itong sa TV5 naman natatawa ako kay sharon! :))
ReplyDeleteDISLIKE!!! copycat! pero atleast much better to compare sa station id ng GMA!!! the best pa din station id ng ABS..they are showing the true meaning of christmas,may story..unlike ng sa TV5 na pinapamukhang may mga big stars sila na napirate kaya sinasabing mas masaya dun! panget ang theme! binigyan ng importance ang station nila d ang essence ng pasko!

sa 3 xmas ID, abs lang ang walang promotion ng station nila. pati sa song. hindi nila nilalagyan ng kung ano mang station ads kaya napapatugtog sa ibang fm radio show. dapat ganun. hindi yung message e ipinamumukha yung station. right?
ReplyDeletenapanood ko na rin id ng tv5. personally, hindi sya yung tipo na uulitin mo. nakakatamad pa ngang tapusin. puro tv5 yung nasa lyrics. no ba yan?... about christmas, pero umpisa pa lang may pang-aaway na(yung part na nanood ng tv). iba talaga abs. sa 3 networks, hindi sila aggresive sa pang-aaway sa iba. wag lang sana big artist mag-invest si manny. invest din on people behind the scene. hay..

ReplyDeletesayang yung production ng xmas id ng tv5 dahil sa message ng song. hindi sya xmas id. station id sya na promotion ng tv5 sa station nila na may xmas theme lang. masmasmas..tv5..ano yun?nilagyan pa ng pasimpleng pang-aaway sa ibang networks sa intro. ok pa dati na pa-low pro ang tv5. hindi yung pinipilit ni manny na makipagsabayan.

ReplyDeletepinanood ko uli yung xmas id ng abs 2009 & 2010. anak ng... talagang ginaya ng tv5 yung style. yung magsisimula sa batang nag-eemo mag-isa. haha! sablay lang talaga ginawa ng tv5 kasi xmas id, pero nang-away sila ng ibang station (obvious na naman). nasobrahan ata ang tv5. ang kulit pa ng song. self-centered yung message, hindi talaga xmas spirit. hay...

ReplyDeletetechnically, it's a good ad (obvious take-off from the previous ads of the other stations.) if only their shows will reach that quality, then tv 5 can be good competition. think of it this way, the same owner of tv5 controls electricity, water, and communications so 2 and 7 have to be nice. tv history tells us that tv 5 is doing what abs did after 1986. the big stars who brought money to the station (who most of you have been calling has-beens) were given exclusive contracts. thus, laming the tv industry. do you know that the first aga-claudine team up happened in gma and not in abs? kaya, bago kaya magtawag ng pirata, alamin ang kasaysayan. hindi nagrereact ang abs sa pagmove sa tv5, napansin niyo?

Walang 3rd. Hindi makapasa sa qualification ko ang GMA7 SID. Hindi pinag isipan. Walang ka-effort effort.
for me, the best Christmas station id was ABS-CBN's 2009.. i like 2010 din! look it up on youtube! may budget talaga, and the lyrics and tune ay okay

ReplyDelete@Jabz -- i agree :) iba na kasi ang focus ng ABS(i think) with the station ID. mas may puso siya and dedicated to the OFW Filipinos kasi totoo naman talaga na mas dumadami na ang lumalabas ng bansa to support their family. dahil kapamilya network sila they wanted to let everybody know na it doesn't matter kahit nasaan ka sa mundo ang pagmamahal sa pamilya parin ang mangingibabaw. bow ako sa creative team nila kasi they were able to incorporate being a kapamilya network sa kapamilyang pinoy so instead of all about ABS-CBN(no need na) they just had a single theme na kapamilya theme dahil mas binigyan nila ng importance being a kapamilya kaysa showing ABS-CBN sila. Yung GMA ewan napaka walang puso yung TV5 naman mas binigyan ng halaga ang pag advertise na mas masaya sa TV5. Ano ba ang TV5? if kapamilya? kapuso? wala ata eh hehe siguro dapat humanap sila.
