This seems true, she always feels she's entitled dahil sikat at galing sa pamilya ng haciendero at pulitiko. Hindi kaya banggain ng staff yun if ever man gusto nila ituloy ang pagtulong. Sa dami ng pwede pumunta dun govt agencies why need artistas pa? Parang mgpapagulo lang sila dun. Kung magstay talaga sila at tumulong yan pwede pero to just giveout relief goods for a day or few hours better ata ipaubaya sa mga govt people involved or NGOs. These artistas lalo na si K may bodyguards pa yan PSG etc intindhin pa safety nya. Why not let others do it and just be in the background helping. Just my opinion.

I think that's super exaggeration. Siguro one truck had to go back for her, but not TRUCKS. Common sense naman. One truck or official vehicle is very possible or likely na sunduin yung naiwan kung iilan lang naman, lalo na pag ganong walang transport due to the disaster. Pero trucks? Come on! One of the vonlunteers on the truck of ABS witnessed it first hand...Here's her story: the van that will fetch K at the airport left the station, i think almost 6pm. . . and one of the someone from ABS told the driver of the truck "sa macanhan daw meh". . but when we arrived at macanhan, one of the someone told the driver that K was not yet at Macanhan. she was brought to Consolacion. . . so, we went to consolacion, seeing people asked for goods. . but we just looked down and say nothing because we are just a bunch of volunteers riding at the back of the truck full of relief goods and clothes. . . when we arrived at Consolacion, K was done distributing some goods to the victims. . . not one cellophane from our truck was given to them, there are still lots of people who didn't receive any goods. . . Me and my fellow volunteers listened to the cry of the victims, kasi nasa open air kami, while K was inside a nice cozy, air-condition van. . . . after Consolacion, we went back to Balulang, on our way there, we saw grandmothers, grandfathers, preggy, kids with their body full of mud, starving, thirsty. . . asking for the goods. . . when we arrived at Balulang, K was already distributing some goods to the victims, after that she got into the van and off they go. . . and me and my fellow volunteers got an order to stay put at Balulang and wait for further instruction, leaving us hungry and thirsty, that was already almost 10pm. . . good thing the police trainees gave us food, in a cup. . . and after 20-30mins of waiting, we got the sign to go back to the station. . . and when we arrived there, K was never found, coz we think she's already in her hotel, all cozy and got a bath and everything. . . while we only ate hard-boiled eggs kasi naubos na ang dinner. . . and that's it, i got home, open my facebook account and share this to you.

Maraming celebrities ang tumutulong ng walang media coverage. I know that for a fact. Kaya huwag niyong ipagsasabi na celebrity sila kaya may media. Kalokohan.

I commend the likes of Anne, Angel,Kris and others who took the time out and exerted effort to be able to distribute relief goods in the areas affected by Sendong. But I am more impressed, and I salute more those celebrities and actors and actresses who extended a helping hand by donating and giving a considerable amount of cash and goods without any fanfare and publicity at all, and who wanted to remain anonymous, and not mention their names. My God! Ang dami namang crabs dito.. At least si K - kung totoo man na nagpasundo siya - nag-effort na pumunta dun para magpamigay ng relief goods sa mga tao. Baka naman may valid reason kung bakit nagpasundo siya. Don't be quick to judge. At kahit nagmaganda man siya and whatever her intentions are, ang end result, nakatulong pa rin.. Naikwento dati pa ng friend kong taga-Albay na nung kasagsagan ng Mayon Volcano eruption threat, hindi maibigay-bigay yung relief goods sa mga naghihintay na evacuees kasi wala pa daw yung mga taga-media na magcocover ng pagbibigay ng goods ng governor. Inuna pa yung pagpapapogi kaysa sa mga nangangailangan na evacuees.

I don't see anything wrong with this. Just be thankful that somebody helped unlike these people leaving negative comments. What have you done to help? Did you drop everything that you have to do and go to the disaster area and help? No right? Too much crab mentality going on in here. Help is help no matter how it's done…and don't forget this was a flooded area you never know if the only way to get there is through trucks or bus.
Posibleng nangyari na binalikan nga sya, pero I dont think sya nag-utos nyan. Huwag masyado mapangnghusga. Galit kayo sa tao, pero sana nakita nyo din yun nagawa nyang mabuti. Tulong na lang tayo sa abot ng makakaya natin. Salamat!
Kapag volunteer kailangan mag-compare kung ano meron sa ibang volunteer? Nakapag-volunteer na ako sa mga ganyan, pero never kong kinukumpara ang nararanasan ko habang tumutulong ako, kahit may mga abala o aberya at kahit gutom di ko naiisip, kasi galing sa puso. So kahit nasa bubong ka pa ng jeep naka-upo at ang ibang volunteers ay nasa air-condintioned na sasakyan kapag nasa puso mo ang pagtulong hindi ka magrereklamo. Sana hindi na lang kayo nag-volunteer kung umaasa kayo na may ipapakain sa inyo o pare-pareho ang trato ng mga volunteers.

Help in any kind is needed. So whatever help can be given is appreciated. Sana no more media mileage necessary to extend the help. We should all cooperate and extend the help as soon as we can. Lest an epidemic or other people get sick. Get them the basic services that is necessary to survive.
You people do not get the point why K is broadcasting her relief donations, she is using her celebrity status to be a good example for people who have more in life to donate! if she herself can take that much effort, go to Mindanao and all, to give help why can't ordinary people like us provide help too in our own simple way! it just becomes news because she is a celebrity but if she happens to be a nobody would anyone care? instead of lashing at her why don't you send your help to Mindanao first...

Correction, K is not self-centered. She is just being typical. Typical of very rich people (not just your ordinary rich people) who think that that we are privileged just having them around us, ordinary mortals. That hurts but it is the truth and that is just not true to the elite Pinoys but to the elite of the world as well.
In a way, we are all self-centered in different manners. The mere fact that we are here, commenting without verifying, vilifying without thinking, getting annoyed without understanding, ha, di ba that is being self-centered.

According to my cousin who's a Municipal Health Officer in CDO, K was there in the distribution area with the other celebrities, with no kaartihan and no aircon. He's not sure though about the story of the truck returning for her. As far as the munisipyo is concerned, they are very thankful and appreciative of all the help and support they're getting from celebrities and noncelebrities. Lahat tumutulong. This is not true! If ever the other truck returned, it was not ordered by the group of K. And I'm pretty sure they did not know such incident happened. Instead of blaming those who reached out, can you just help? Have you yourself extended your hand to those in need?

I was volunteer during the ONDOY tragedy and because I volunteered, I knew that the center of attention shouldn't be me but the victims, hence, if have not eaten, I would not complain because I knew beforehand what I was getting into the minute I I volunteered. To volunteer and then complain later, I think, that is the height of being self-centered.
Instead of focusing on the negatives, why can't we be thankful that these private citizens went on their way to help our less fortunate kababayans.
There are two Ks in that network, one from the News Dept. and the other of course, is the host/actress. Either of them could be the one being referred to in the FB post.
I have had a few encounters with both, since I worked in that network for quite sometime. Both have 'queenly ways' and are able to act differently in front of the viewing public.
That said, what you see and hear on tv is almost always NOT the real person, rather, a persona they created so they can be admired, followed and stay long in the industry as a 'brand', a saleable and reliable 'brand'.
I'm sure you guys are now aware of a word war between a veteran news person from the rival station and that of the latter.

I take my hat off to all the volunteers who took time to be part of such a worthy cause. However, when youre one, DO NOT whine over food and poor accomodation. Remember, you're there to help and assist. Not to act like a guest.

If what you're saying really happened, i don't think she's to blame for that. When a celebrity like K.A. goes to an event or shows, an advance party or the organizers prepare everything from airport pick up, to the events proper and even their accomodation. In the case of what happened to the relief operation, i think we can put the blame not her, but to those who organized her visit to CDO. Siguro dahil sa pagod and taranta ng mga taong nag-organize ng pagpunta nya, ndi na naayos ng maigi ang car na susundo or maghahatid sa kanya kung saan man or naplano ng maigi ang mga pupuntahan at gagawing relief operation. And to those na nagsasabi na bakit kelangan mga artista pa ang mag-RO. i think may added impact kung artista/celebrity. may nabibigay na dagdag na kasiyahan para sa mga tao na makita nila yung mga iniidolo nila na tumutulong sa knila.
Obviously, she also has prior commitments to attend to thats why she cant stay long in the city. For somebody who has a hectic schedule like she does, its admirable how she took time off to fly to the city and help. She was only here for a day, and a day isnt enough to visit all the affected areas.
Here in Cagayan de Oro, people are actually united in helping one another in these trying times. We all share the appreciation towards individuals, kagay-anons or outsiders, who take the time off to lend a helping hand. More than anything else, its the help and thought that counts!

This is misunderstood by the volunteers of the said truck who was left untouched. Ms K was fetched by a van to go to certain places for her to help send out relief goods. This certain truck with some volunteers on it are the back up goods. Guys, in giving relief gpods they follow certain system para d magkagulo tao at maidistribute equally ung mga tulong.
Nakakairita naman ang ibang comments dito. So what kung binobroadcast nya kung gaano kalaki ang itinulong nya? At least nakatulong sya. So what kung hindi sincere ang intentions nya? At least nakatulong sya. Diyos na bahala sa kanya kung ganun man. ANG MAHALAGA, NAKATULONG SYA.

I think the point of the volunteer was in that time of dire need, they had to make changes to accomodate celebrities. Na sa ganoong pagkakataon, nasasangalang alang pa ang photo op at exposure para lang sa ikagaganda ng image ng celebrities para lang masabi na namigay sila ng maraming relief goods. Nakakalungkot naman talaga na nagkakagulo na nga, kailangan may ibibida pa na tagabigay ng relief goods na kailangan magmukha na marami sila naibigay. Sayang din ang gas at oras. Pero naisip ko rin na mas conscious si K ngayon kaya pwede rin ang isang post jan na hindi sha naginartr non.

excuse me. personally i find she can be annoying. but i don't doubt, with how generous she is, that a part of the goods being given away, came from her. her help isn't just for her public image, her presence there brings focus to that cause. a celebrity of her caliber inspires the way you or i can't/don't. so what if nagpahintay siya? it would have been better if she didn't but people, give her a break! at least she's helping. i don't see any of us being there (obviously if nakikichismis tayo kay fp). you know how dangerous it was to go there? a lot of police volunteers died. i'm not even a fan, she's annoying and brash but sometimes the fp readers are just plain crass and ignorant.

Kung ready to give na sila ng relief goods bakit kailangan pa balikan/antayin sino man bago ibigay ang dapat ibigay muna. ReplyDeleteSa dami ng pwede pumunta dun govt agencies why need artistas pa? Parang mgpapagulo lang sila dun. Kung magstay talaga sila at tumulong yan pwede pero to just giveout relief goods for a day or few hours better ata ipaubaya sa mga govt people involved or NGOs. These artistas lalo na si K may bodyguards pa yan PSG etc intindhin pa safety nya. Why not let others do it and just be in the background helping. Just my opinion.

One truck or official vehicle is very possible or likely na sunduin yung naiwan kung iilan lang naman, lalo na pag ganong walang transport due to the disaster. Pero trucks? Come on! I think exaggerated na yon.

ReplyDeleteOne of the vonlunteers on the truck of ABS witnessed it first hand...Here's her story: the van that will fetch K at the airport left the station, i think almost 6pm. . . and one of the someone from ABS told the driver of the truck "sa macanhan daw meh". . but when we arrived at macanhan, one of the someone told the driver that K was not yet at Macanhan. she was brought to Consolacion. . . so, we went to consolacion, seeing people asked for goods. . but we just looked down and say nothing because we are just a bunch of volunteers riding at the back of the truck full of relief goods and clothes. . . when we arrived at Consolacion, K was done distributing some goods to the victims. . . not one cellophane from our truck was given to them, there are still lots of people who didn't receive any goods. . . Me and my fellow volunteers listened to the cry of the victims, kasi nasa open air kami, while K was inside a nice cozy, air-condition van. . . . after Consolacion, we went back to Balulang, on our way there, we saw grandmothers, grandfathers, preggy, kids with their body full of mud, starving, thirsty. . . asking for the goods. . . when we arrived at Balulang, K was already distributing some goods to the victims, after that she got into the van and off they go. . . and me and my fellow volunteers got an order to stay put at Balulang and wait for further instruction, leaving us hungry and thirsty, that was already almost 10pm. . . good thing the police trainees gave us food, in a cup. . . and after 20-30mins of waiting, we got the sign to go back to the station. . . and when we arrived there, K was never found, coz we think she's already in her hotel, all cozy and got a bath and everything. . . while we only ate hard-boiled eggs kasi naubos na ang dinner. . . and that's it, i got home, open my facebook account and share this to you.
ReplyDeleteSana, PAGKAIN ang naipamigay. Yung volunteer na nagkwento, sila yung nakasakay sa truck na puno ng pagkain. Anong pinamigay nila K???? ISANG BOTE NG TUBIG, SABON, SHAMPOO. Yung pagkain hindi na-distribute kasi hinahabol nila si K. Maraming nadismaya. Alam ko yon, Kagay-anon ako.

Don't hate, appreciate instead. This is not the time to focus on each other's flaw but to unite as one for those who were affected by the calamity. People let us all stop our crab mentality, ang importante they were able to help, celebrity or not. That's the most important thing.

I commend the likes of Anne, Angel,Kris and others who took the time out and exerted effort to be able to distribute relief goods in the areas affected by Sendong. But I am more impressed, and I salute more those celebrities and actors and actresses who extended a helping hand by donating and giving a considerable amount of cash and goods without any fanfare and publicity at all, and who wanted to remain anonymous, and not mention their names. This is really the true essence of helping out. Walang ibang motive whatsoever kundi ang makatulong lang. - JMR

Anon 7:19 I appreciate what you did.. I honestly salute you because the only thing I was able to do was send money.. i honestly don't have the guts to face those people without shedding tears. But do you really have to compare what you did dun sa ginawa ng ibang tao? If you are going to complain about what you went through and compare it to what K did, hindi ba parang parehas lang kayo in a way? If you can afford to help out then great but don't compare it dun sa kayang gawin ng iba. whether k helped in distributing or not, will it change the way you look at her? call it selfish but if i were in her place I would also like to personally hand over what i brought to the people I want to help. LAgi na lang binibigyan ng masamang kulay ang pagtulong ng iba.. Sabi nga nila Angel Locsin, we brought cameras with us para baka sakali may mainspire kaming mga iba pang tao na tumulong din..I think that's what celebrities are for..

Baka naman may valid reason kung bakit nagpasundo siya. Don't be quick to judge. At kahit nagmaganda man siya and whatever her intentions are, ang end result, nakatulong pa rin.. Kapag commercial nia ang palabas sa tv, inililipat ko ang station, nakaksawa ang pagmumukha, sobrang te-arts... may month na talagang siya lang ang laman ng commercial gap, ang ending nagtyaga ako sa HBO at AXN wag ko lang makita ang mukha nia... di ko masabi kung magpapasalamat ako at tumulong cia... nakaka-irita kasi kung totoo ang BI... well, what do you expect... umpisa pa ang naman ng buahy nia on TV, paimportante na talaga. Did you drop everything that you have to do and go to the disaster area and help? No right? Too much crab mentality going on in here. Help is help no matter how it's done…and don't forget this was a flooded area you never know if the only way to get there is through trucks or bus.

Nakapag-volunteer na ako sa mga ganyan, pero never kong kinukumpara ang nararanasan ko habang tumutulong ako, kahit may mga abala o aberya at kahit gutom di ko naiisip, kasi galing sa puso. So kahit nasa bubong ka pa ng jeep naka-upo at ang ibang volunteers ay nasa air-condintioned na sasakyan kapag nasa puso mo ang pagtulong hindi ka magrereklamo. Sana hindi na lang kayo nag-volunteer kung umaasa kayo na may ipapakain sa inyo o pare-pareho ang trato ng mga volunteers.

Could be a case of miscommunication. People could speculate or believe what they have heard without finding the truth.

Typical of very rich people (not just your ordinary rich people) who think that that we are privileged just having them around us, ordinary mortals. That hurts but it is the truth and that is just not true to the elite Pinoys but to the elite of the world as well.

ReplyDeleteAccording to my cousin who's a Municipal Health Officer in CDO, K was there in the distribution area with the other celebrities, with no kaartihan and no aircon. He's not sure though about the story of the truck returning for her. As far as the munisipyo is concerned, they are very thankful and appreciative of all the help and support they're getting from celebrities and noncelebrities. Lahat tumutulong. To volunteer and then complain later, I think, that is the height of being self-centered.
Instead of focusing on the negatives, why can't we be thankful that these private citizens went on their way to help our less fortunate kababayans.

There are two Ks in that network, one from the News Dept. and the other of course, is the host/actress. Either of them could be the one being referred to in the FB post.
ReplyDeleteI have had a few encounters with both, since I worked in that network for quite sometime. Both have 'queenly ways' and are able to act differently in front of the viewing public.
That said, what you see and hear on tv is almost always NOT the real person, rather, a persona they created so they can be admired, followed and stay long in the industry as a 'brand', a saleable and reliable 'brand'.
I'm sure you guys are now aware of a word war between a veteran news person from the rival station and that of the latter.
You be the judge.
...and yes, I've done my part as a concerned citizen and someone whose heart broke a million times upon the release of those heart-wrenching images.

If what you're saying really happened, i don't think she's to blame for that. When a celebrity like K.A. goes to an event or shows, an advance party or the organizers prepare everything from airport pick up, to the events proper and even their accomodation. In the case of what happened to the relief operation, i think we can put the blame not her, but to those who organized her visit to CDO. Siguro dahil sa pagod and taranta ng mga taong nag-organize ng pagpunta nya, ndi na naayos ng maigi ang car na susundo or maghahatid sa kanya kung saan man or naplano ng maigi ang mga pupuntahan at gagawing relief operation.

Obviously, she also has prior commitments to attend to thats why she cant stay long in the city. For somebody who has a hectic schedule like she does, its admirable how she took time off to fly to the city and help. She was only here for a day, and a day isnt enough to visit all the affected areas.

ReplyDeletei dont think so the Q of All M will do that...that post is just an imagination of someone who is really in a pathetic and insecure situation..she could have lots of issues sa pagiging taklesa..madaldal..issues with marriage but no one cannot question her generosity unless mga inggiterong palaka kayo..with or without camera..dedma..the bottomline is tumulong sya? eh yung iba jan? puna ng puna but wala namang naitulong!!! give her a break! now..kayo ang pumunta ng CDO at do what you think is right! kaya di umuunlad ang pilipinas!!we have this crab mentality thing.

ReplyDeleteIf she is serious in helping, dapat nakipag-coordinate na sya beforehand and hindi sya nagpa-late. If she knew she's late,she could've made an effort to go to the place herself. wag na mang-istorbo.

If your network required you to help, then say no rather than showing everyone how disgusted you are with what you are doing. Pls lang nakukunan pa kayo ng camera eh nakakahiya!!!

ReplyDeleteThis is misunderstood by the volunteers of the said truck who was left untouched. Ms K was fetched by a van to go to certain places for her to help send out relief goods. This certain truck with some volunteers on it are the back up goods. Guys, in giving relief gpods they follow certain system para d magkagulo tao at maidistribute equally ung mga tulong.

May kanya kanya tayong paraan at dahilan ng pagtulong, wag na nating pakiaalaman ang bawat isa ang importante nakatulong sa nangangailangn.... Ang Diyos naman ang nakakaalam kung ano ang tunay na intensyon ng bawat isa... Basta saludo ako sa mga taong malinis ang hangarin sa pagtulong at walang hinihintay na kapalit.
ReplyDeleteI think the point of the volunteer was in that time of dire need, they had to make changes to accomodate celebrities. Na sa ganoong pagkakataon, nasasangalang alang pa ang photo op at exposure para lang sa ikagaganda ng image ng celebrities para lang masabi na namigay sila ng maraming relief goods. Nakakalungkot naman talaga na nagkakagulo na nga, kailangan may ibibida pa na tagabigay ng relief goods na kailangan magmukha na marami sila naibigay. Sayang din ang gas at oras. Pero naisip ko rin na mas conscious si K ngayon kaya pwede rin ang isang post jan na hindi sha naginartr non.

ReplyDeletePag hindi nakitang nagdidistribute ng goods, hindi na tumulong. Pag nakita naman nagdidistribute ng relief goods, pang publicity lang. Ano ba talaga? Alangan namang ipangalandakan ng mga artista na, "uy ako nagbigay ako ng libo libo para sa victims." eh di lalo naman nagmukhang pang publicity lang. yung mga celeb na tumulong na nagdistribute ng relief goods are no different from the ordinary citizen na naki volunteer mag distribute. All of the volunteers took their time off from their busy skeds to help. Hindi lang naman celebrity ang busy. It just so happens na kilala sila. Yung iba naman celeb super tweet ng PLS HELP SEND DONATIONS blah blah.. eh bakit, may tinulong ba talaga sila? Nung umattend si PNoy ng PSG party, sobrang binatikos... bakit? Bawal ba umattend? E para sa mga tao nya yun.. Bakit, kayo ba, hindi ba kayo umattend ng mga Christmas parties? Kaplastikan yan. POINT IS: We'll never really the two sides of the coin if we don't keep an open mind. ReplyDeleteang dami daming insecure talaga kay K, bakit naman niya gagawin yun kung ikakasira ng kapatid niya, mga pinoy talaga, wag mo tulungan galit, tulungan mo may masasabi pa rin, alam niyo sa States sa mga kalamidad hindi inaasahan ang mga artista mamudmod ng relief goods, may natatandaan ba kayo na ganyan na mga hollywood stars nasa relief operation, kung tutuusin hindi na nga yan obligasyon ng mga artista eh, naalala ko tulyo yung Mayor dati na nagalit din dati sa kuya nitong BI ngayon, hindi daw isla iniintindi, yun pala kaya nagagalit hindi sa kanya ibinigay yung calamity fund at pinadaan sa DSWD, ngayon yung kuya nitong BI dun na sa Mayor ibinigay, eh pano iniiwasan nga niya ang corruption eh di naman paawat ang mga LGU na siraan siya , kaya makisabay na lang sa agos, ang mga pilipino kase minsan walang sariling isip pagdating sa pulitika, sa States hindi ganyan, ang politician dun ay hindi kailangan magpakatrapo para iboto dahil hindi bumoboto ang tao doon dahil guwapo o mukhang matalino

K's conduct disgusts me if this is indeed true. however, moveondotcom na as krisaquinoSTD always says. it happened already and what we should be doing is to focus on the real problems. to help more, donate more, etc. this issue does not solve anything.

ReplyDeleteexcuse me. personally i find she can be annoying. but i don't doubt, with how generous she is, that a part of the goods being given away, came from her. her help isn't just for her public image, her presence there brings focus to that cause. a celebrity of her caliber inspires the way you or i can't/don't. so what if nagpahintay siya? it would have been better if she didn't but people, give her a break! at least she's helping. i don't see any of us being there (obviously if nakikichismis tayo kay fp). you know how dangerous it was to go there? a lot of police volunteers died. i'm not even a fan, she's annoying and brash but sometimes the fp readers are just plain crass and ignorant.
