It is very difficult to prove rape here in the Philippines. Our country has yet to pass a bill that will help raped victims have a stronger case. I know this because I know someone who was raped. Sadly, most lawyers said it's very hard to prove a rape incidence did occur. That is why the video is very important in this case otherwise it will be just her words against theirs. I really do hope she wins the case. I am beyond furious with rapists.

I'm not siding to either one until all the facts are laid out. The suspects are still innocent until proven guilty but then again a tarnished reputation will haunt you for the rest of your life, may it be that the accusation be true or not. If the alleged "victim" really believe she was sexually violated and wants justice to done then the people close to her should advice and guild her accordingly since she'll have an uphill battle ahead of her.

While my heart goes out to the girl, I'm sorry but I may have to agree with something anon 4:00pm said.If the girl knew better, she would've been more wary of going "home" with these guys. If I understood it right, she's a random girl, she doesn't personally know the guys, and none of the guys knew her either. And yet, for reasons I think we all know (ang hot nga naman nila in fairness), nadala siguro masyado ng hormones si ateh kaya nagpa-take home din siya. And I read that post by this sportswriter, Mr. D (in fact nag comment din siya dito, I believe he's efd, nagplug pa ng link sa blog niya), he was never a fan of the team, obvious naman with all his write ups about them in his blog, a hater through and through, so him helping out the victim, I can't help but question his motives.
I'm a fan of the team, and reading about this BI disappointed me, not of the team, but of the people involved lang. All I hope for is for the truth, I'm not taking sides. I pray that justice will be served to whoever deserves it.

So FP has the license to print a screenshot of anyone's Facebook wall without the owner's permission on his blog? I agree that there was a lapse of judgment on N's and P's (if it is indeed them, I have my doubts) to discuss this on the wall and not via PM, but it still doesn't excuse the posting of it. Isn't that the point of privacy settings to begin with, to prevent people you don't know/trust to see what you post? If someone's wall is blocked to you, it means they don't want you to see what they post, that's their choice. And FP and whoever took this screenshot and gave it to FP to post violated Mr. N's and Mr P's right to that choice and their privacy.
I understand that the topic is juicy, but we have to draw the line somewhere on getting the juicy information.

He has been proven (people who have been quite active on local forums and events especially around visayas since the early 2000s would know this) to have quite a penchant for being a bit delusional. He’s even been proven to talk to himself (using multiple accounts, traced by seeing they come from the same IP adress) on his own forums in order to support his ideas. Lastly, he’s had quite some beef with personalities over the last few months (maybe even years), even calling some of them out. LOL

ReplyDeleteI think I know two of the people here in this BI. First is Mr. E, we already know what he did. I checked his twitter account and saw this pic, it's definitely him. Secondly is Mr. W, the head of the team? I'm not sure if it's really Mr. W but if you try filling up the censored words. "Mr. W_ _ _ _" will fit in perfectly. Furthermore, isn't it a coincidence that the facebook account is in German. I don't know. This is really difficult.

nakakatawa naman ang mga comments regarding english! sa america na lang kayo magpunta to see their pop culture and you will realize they dont care about the grammar when speaking. Or better yet just stay in the Philippines where you will always feel inferior or you are in high society because you can speak grammatically correct english whether with substance or not. pag sa europe kayo nagpunta, you will realize that english is not the most important language. They love their mother tongue and appreciates it when foreigners try to speak it even if its full of grammatical errors. ReplyDeletemoving on the offtopic, I think this is a serious offense. let us not focus on the grammar but on the issues. I just hope that the truth will prevail. Sana if she cries rape this will not be another Nicole case. Kasi kawawa ang mga babaeng talagang na rape and afraid to come out in the open kasi people are brandishing them as sluts and that they called it upon themselves. Try watching "the accused" an old film starring jodie foster. Assuming that the accusation is true, this film will open your eyes to the horrors of rape and maybe stop you from your blind idolatry. I am happy that this sport has been getting recognition in our country because I think we might excel in this. So it's sad if this accusation is true. Sad day for Philippine sports and more importantly for the victim.

"Mr. D knew about the incident through two insiders who are close to the alleged rapists. He does not know the victim." Eh pano ba naging rape if the victim herself did not say SO? How sure was the writer na hindi chismis lng ung sinasabi ng two "insiders"? "close to the alleged rapist" kamo, eh bat nila sinisiraan ung "rapist" kung close nmn pla cla??? The writer investigated the so called "crime" without any complaint from the "victim", the players are not taking it that seriously. I think it is not rape, galit lng ung girl sa video.

ReplyDeleteAnyhow, may feeling akong may mga taong gigil na gigil sa balitang eto. gustong gusto nilang ipagkalat sa mga blog sites at twitter pero wala (pa) namang lakas ng loob ipaalam sa publiko. either this is demolition job or a valid case we'll have to wait for the outcome any time soon. I'm convince that the sexual act happened but I'm still adamant of the RAPE issue... we'll have to wait for the statement of the said "victim" yet. I wonder while she haven't come out yet... What is she afraid of? Certainly a lot of people will help her-- FP would be one, Gabriela I'm sure and they can get Atty. Katrina Legarda.
I'm not siding to either one until all the facts are laid out. The suspects are still innocent until proven guilty but then again a tarnished reputation will haunt you for the rest of your life, may it be that the accusation be true or not. If the alleged "victim" really believe she was sexually violated and wants justice to done then the people close to her should advice and guild her accordingly since she'll have an uphill battle ahead of her.

I really do think this is below the belt, because what's on someone's FB wall should be between him and his friends, unless he shares his wall to everyone. In this case, I think that's unlikely given that the person involved is a celebrity, plus what they're talking about seems to be a sensitive topic. Just because it seems to be related to a blind item doesn't give anyone license to make it public.

While my heart goes out to the girl, I'm sorry but I may have to agree with something anon 4:00pm said.If the girl knew better, she would've been more wary of going "home" with these guys. If I understood it right, she's a random girl, she doesn't personally know the guys, and none of the guys knew her either. And yet, for reasons I think we all know (ang hot nga naman nila in fairness), nadala siguro masyado ng hormones si ateh kaya nagpa-take home din siya. And not to judge the girl, I'm just assuming here and I may be wrong, but i'm guessing, kung ganun ganun na lang siya sasama sa isang guy she just met, she's probably hooked up with random people before. Minalas lang siya on that night. :|
ReplyDeleteAnd I read that post by this sportswriter, Mr. D (in fact nag comment din siya dito, I believe he's efd, nagplug pa ng link sa blog niya), he was never a fan of the team, obvious naman with all his write ups about them in his blog, a hater through and through, so him helping out the victim, I can't help but question his motives.
I'm a fan of the team, and reading about this BI disappointed me, not of the team, but of the people involved lang. All I hope for is for the truth, I'm not taking sides. I pray that justice will be served to whoever deserves it.

ReplyDeleteYes, I was directing it to FP. I just feel that this crosses the line. This is an invasion of Mr. N's and Mr. P's privacy. Even if I'm not a celebrity, if one of my FB friends took a screenshot of something on my PRIVATE wall (a picture, a comment, whatever) and had it posted on a blog without my permission, I would be really offended.
And while I really enjoy reading FP, I find this to be in really poor form.

Apparently D did not rape the girl albeit he was the "director", E and his BFF G are the "actors" while S is their "cameraman". Parang pelikula lang but it's very real and serious that a woman had just been sexually and emotionally violated.
National athletes should have the right conduct bec. they represent our country. E and G should be charge w/ rape while D and S as accessory to the incident. All of them should be TERMINATED on our team even if it would be hard for our future games.
I agree maraming nakakaawa dito lalo na si i cant stand bad english! Sa ibang bansa nga eh hindi magaling magenglish pero mas maunlad ang bansa nila kysa sa atin...eh ang pinas, nasan na ba? Puro galing nalang sa english...ayan tuloy...

ReplyDeleteSo FP has the license to print a screenshot of anyone's Facebook wall without the owner's permission on his blog? I agree that there was a lapse of judgment on N's and P's (if it is indeed them, I have my doubts) to discuss this on the wall and not via PM, but it still doesn't excuse the posting of it. Isn't that the point of privacy settings to begin with, to prevent people you don't know/trust to see what you post? If someone's wall is blocked to you, it means they don't want you to see what they post, that's their choice. And FP and whoever took this screenshot and gave it to FP to post violated Mr. N's and Mr P's right to that choice and their privacy.
I understand that the topic is juicy, but we have to draw the line somewhere on getting the juicy information.
And I just want to preempt any comments saying that I am defending Mr. N. I haven't addressed the alleged crime in my comments in this post. And if you read back to a similar post where John Lapuz's FB wall was also posted, I said the same thing.

He has been proven (people who have been quite active on local forums and events especially around visayas since the early 2000s would know this) to have quite a penchant for being a bit delusional. He’s even been proven to talk to himself (using multiple accounts, traced by seeing they come from the same IP adress) on his own forums in order to support his ideas. Lastly, he’s had quite some beef with personalities over the last few months (maybe even years), even calling some of them out. LOL
