Tongues are wagging as to who should really be credited for assisting Penshoppe in bringing the Gossip Girl star to Manila? While the deal was being negotiated by the Publicist overseas, one Eventologist kept on bragging in his twitter account that he is the one who will be bringing the star to Manila. When the Publicist tweeted photos of her at the NAIA with the Gossip Girl star in her arm, the Eventologist had to explain to his legions of followers as to what the chuck happened? Despite the fact that the Eventologist was not invited to the press conference because of what he did, he still came.

Twitterverse (Twitter Universe) is full of revelations as the private party hosted for Mr. Bass by Penshoppe invited top tier media personalities only and perhaps creating the biggest snob ever by not inviting some of Manila's top party people and socialites. The security was so tight that even mobile phones and personal cameras were not allowed in the posh Salon De Ning of The Peninsula Manila and security IDs and stickers were required for identification.

Apparently one model/socialite who was not even in the guest list tweeted that she could not come because of "conflicting endorsements" leaving the organizers to comment: "What the...? She's not even invited!" A few days prior to the exclusive event, the same girl tried to contact the Australian fashion photographer who shot the campaign but he ignored her thinking "As If!"
Too Hungry
When the wanna be Queen writer spotted this tall, handsome, Caucasian cameraman of CNN positioned near his/her where he/she was seated, he/she started chatting with him and tried asking him out after the press conference. I supposed he/she was just too hungry for white meat because only finger foods and cocktails were served at the party.
Anyway, thank you Penshoppe and Publicity Asia for bringing Mr. Bass to the Philippines. We hope to see him again soon!

He may not be as goodlooking and tall like Chace Crawford but he's still playing probably one of the more notable characters on TV right now so as long as he is Chuck Bass he still matters.

There is no use for young and vibrant personalities to be associated with him as it is not in the contract and his US agent will not allow it as there is no connection. People need to understand that it works different working with US personalities - there are standard protocols to follow.

Puro comment ng mga chismosang walang alam! Hindi nyo ba alam ang protocol sa US that its not Publicity Asia who is in charge but the final list is approved by the New York PR? Publicity Asia will submit their names and New York makes a background check. If a certain name has no records of performance suitable for US standards or has a BAD record (drugs, scandals) then New York will cross off those persons even if they were nominated by the local agency. Eh what happened, a lot of what you think are popular press here have a bad track record in the US books.
ReplyDeleteSi Joyce Ramirez or Jimenez maganda daw ang track record kasi she has worked with a lot of US celebrities na over the past 8 years and is trained in Hollywood so nakukuha nya lahat ng projects. They trust her over the popular ones here na hindi naman sikat sa US. Eh she did not make an effort to be popular here as she invested her time abroad so that is what you call enjoying the fruits of labor. So wag na mag-comment yung mga walang alam at mag-train muna kayo sa US para maintindihan nyo ang protocols.
At ano naman ang kinalalaman ni Anna Wintour sa project na ito? Bwahahahahaah The event was marked PRIVATE and not open for everyone's consumption at success siya no matter what bitter comments you post here that it wasn't. And both Penshoppe and the US agents love Joyce Ramirez/Jimenez even more so balita na may susunod na celebrity na bitbit siya when she comes back from LA. Yan ang abangan kung sino sino ulit ang invited sa party ni mama bwahaha

Our current local celebs come from a Hiyaw-Hagulgol School of Acting which is bad, and that's where my statement comes from. Granted, Ed is far from winning notable awards from HIS acting but he does pull off characters effortlessly unlike ours do.
And oh come on, let's be realistic. Mestizas and half-breeds in the major billboards and brands and TV shows? Whitening products, straight hair and skinny bodies? Hermes and Louis Vuitton? Who are you kidding? The entertainment industry itself (and almost all other industries) reek of colonial mentality so deal with it and STFU.

Penshoppe is only local. Bench is already international. There is no contest. I think the point of some people here is that Penshoppe did a very poor job in selecting and presenting their model. Very third world feel, very pretentious and kind-of creepy. Penshoppe is a local merchandizer. They should know their target demographic which is young and middle class pinoys. And I agree, Bench + Bruno Mars = perfect.

For someone who lives in a third world - it is Anonymous 11:09 AM who is creepy because obviously this person is one of those not invited so he calls everybody else invited as creepy. Kawawa ka naman free invite lang pala gusto mo dami mo pa criticism eh ikaw nga wala ka pa na-prove. At least ang Penshoppe Team may accomplishment na! I bet P1 Million isa kang dukhang bakla! ReplyDeleteI haven't met the owners of Penshoppe personally but I have plenty of friends working there and they're all happy. For Bench naman, ang masasabi ko lang, sa success nilang yan napakasama din naman ng ugali ng may-ari. Naku FP for sure sa mga friends mo may makkwento sila tungkol sa fashion industry's retailers. Yun nga lang kasi marami rin sa friends mo e BFFs doon sa mga yan. Kapit-kapit lang.

Natawa ako dun sa "refusal to pay telecom bill" kasi totoo ito! And what the hell- is there a word na eventologist? He made that up to get a job; apart from being the alalay of the real elites such as Arce, Singson etc. I'm sorry pero T and RG (the gay twin) ay taga payong lang ng mga totoong elite- LITERALLY.
ReplyDeleteAs for G- she's not the goody, nice-type as she wants to portray on TV. We were with her at a party in Republiq and she was wild while hella drunk - smoking along the way. If you watched her as a hurado in Showtime, waley talaga ang personality. She should stick to ads.
