We just arrived in Rome, Italy this morning from Frankfurt. Italy is home to many world renowned labels like Armani, Gucci and Prada. Another Italian label called Emilio Pucci is synonymous with geometric prints in a kaleidoscope of colors. When a woman wears a Pucci dress to an event, she is bound to stand out in a crowd. The only problem is that the prints are just so distinct that when she wears it once, it will retain in the minds of her friends for quite some time.
This fashionista who belongs to the medical field has been photographed in the magazines wearing her Pucci dresses. Her stature in life gives the people around her an impression that all her Pucci dresses are authentic. What these people do not know is that she mixes her genuine collection with over runs (euphemism for knock offs) purchased from Metro Walk Mall. The problem with what she is doing is that once these people discover that she buys knock off pieces, they will think that everything in her collection is counterfeit. One rotten apple spoils the whole barrel.
We should not patronize fake items because this is a way of supporting piracy. Instead of buying something counterfeit, I advise her to save her shopping money and buy something unbranded. If she is truly a fashionista, then she should be able to carry an inexpensive outfit effortlessly and make it look chic and elegant.
Do you know who is this fashionista? I will give you a clue. She has been commended by a magazine for being consistently well-dressed. I just don’t know if the people who gave her the recognition know that she is not only a fan of Pucci but also of Poochi.

Hahah! I know her already bec. I saw her "poochi" items. She is known to be a fashionista but I beg to disagree bec. fashion should not just bear brands but class. She will-never-be-"C" ;)

ReplyDeleteaha i think i know this one!! if i'm not mistaken the magazine featured her last year... and she has a clinic in taguig city right?? in fairness, she looked very fashionable in the mag photos! (in wonder if her birkins are "overruns" too?)

ReplyDeleteThis was how the "best-selling fashion magazine" described her last July. If she doesn't dress to impress, I wonder why she buys counterfeits? Hmm, I think fashion magazines really have to be careful in creating their "Best Dressed" lists.

Clues please! I can only think of ONE popular perosn in the local medical field, the one who was dragged into her bf's sexual controversy! I think this is someone different! :(
ReplyDeletesince i know this one, ill give some clues. She was in the best dressed list of last year's P magazine in which "you will never be a C" was in the cover. She's the only one in the medical field in the list so it wont be that hard. Her last name can already be seen in the clues posted in the comment section. Sya TOE!!!!

ReplyDeletecheck P magazine's last year's best dressed list. she's the only doctor who made it to that list so it's quite easy :). if you still can't get it, the magazine which has that list features "victoria valera" as its cover girl.

ReplyDeletena amaze pa naman ako sa collection niya sa kanyang mga POOCHI dresses, i say to myself na super richness talaga, esp. 2 photos of her wearing *ehem* s/s 2010 balenchaka tops. hayyy.. looks can be deceiving talaga, di dapat magpapaniwala nang basta2 sa tv o sa other media. It makes me sad na they choose "fashion icons" because of contless designer things na meron sila. Id rather have small collection of designer items than a collection mixed with overruns. nasa pag carry naman niyan eh, not in the brand. meron namang topshop o zara, afford naman ata nun ni dokie!

ReplyDeleteGuys, promise this is NOT true. I'm a patient of her, and mind you, she is really really nice, very kind and very generous (discounts, and products). I don't believe that her Puccis are knock-offs! IMPOSSIBLE. Her birkins, I know they are authentic. If she can buy a 10+ birkins, its impossible she'll buy fake pucci dresses. And guys cmon, she has it all! Diamonds, birkin, porsches, and class! She won't destroy her name with some fake pucci dress.
