A former beauty queen was on the plane waiting for her flight back to her homeland where she is otherwise known as Her Royal Highness (HRH). Seated comfortably, her husband's niece-in-law walked up to her and said "hello, Tita!" HRH simply sat still, showed no emotion and pretended not to hear anything. The nice-in-law walked away feeling very embarrassed.
Apparently, this niece-in-law until this day is "persona non grata" to some of the elders of her husband's family. This is the reason why the beauty queen/HRH ignored her presence on the plane. The niece-in-law is a former movie actress who gave up her career to start a family with her husband in a place far away from Manila.

Funny what a little research can do. I assumed it's one of the HRHs since the other one is estranged from her husband. Then I googled the relatives. The nephew is the son of the sister, but if you know the whole name and drop the last name, it is almost the same name as the husband of HRH.
ReplyDeleteIf I'm right, I didn't know the actress was persona non grata to the husband's family. I read somewhere that they had known each other for most their lives. She really looks mabait nga. And sosy. And yes, she's in a remake of a soap now.
Oops, it now Dawned on me that "HRH" was none other than the (illegitimate) grandchild of a former Philippine president...

I am assuming anonymous is referring to the actress. HRH can be described as someone who has a regal bearing. Plus her kids are too old to be fed by a nanny. Am I right?

ReplyDeleteanyway, when my mother died, the niece-in-law and her hubby sent flowers pero si HRH showed up during mass to extend condolences to our family. Nastar-struck ako bigla kasi she had presence kahit naka Ralph Lauren look (folded polo, jeans, no make-up) lang sya.
this beauty queen (along with her alalays) delayed our flight back to MNL by 15 minutes.
