The collar of the shirt was damaged because of Retagging
COLOURS label was simple impossible to remove

After the Puey Quinones incident, more clients who were victims of RETAGGING have been sharing their stores. One reader sent me photos of her son's polo and pants. She requested me not to reveal her identity. Let us respect that. From the photos, it is noticeable that the collar was damaged because of retagging. It was impossible to remove the COLOURS branding from the pants so the designer simply attached her tag in the middle.
It seems like male clients are more prone to this malpractice. Retagging is a crime because we have laws on intellectual property (Republic Act 8293). What puzzles me is that if this designer feels that it is a waste of time to create the polo and pants from scratch, why can't she be honest? She should have advised the client to go to the malls instead. Filipinos are lucky to have many malls that sell reasonably priced good quality garments. Go shopping instead!
My advice: To the brides to be, I suggest you buy the ensembles of the male entourage members from the malls if your designer is too busy with the gowns of the ladies. Just send them to the alteration center if minor changes are needed. This will spare you from all the drama.
And now for the much awaited question. Who is this female designer?
Clue: This female designer has a long name...

ReplyDeletePublic! Beware of super high profile designers who do nothing but partying and socializing! Those so called hype designers who concentrates on self publicity instead of working and supervising their own shops. That's the reason why they are not always available to attend to their clients. They leave their worked unchecked and delivers faulty garments!
ReplyDeleteShe has to be exposed as all frauds should be!
ReplyDeleteStrike!!!!
In a construction-point-of-view, no local designer can produce this kind of workmanship in the inner craftmanship of this slacks since special machines and materials are used in mass production clothes. so for this stupid designer to claim that this is her product made from her atalier. FUCK YOU BITCH! hindi pa ganyan ka pulido ang gawang mananahi teh! mag bowling ka nalang teh!

ReplyDeleteto anonymous march 23. That trend is widespread!! I've heard that suppliers from China would peddle their wares to famous designers. Designer would then 'sketch' the design for their patrons and VOILA! may tag na nila. crazy! Email details to FP para ma-expose na!

ReplyDeletebeware of G----. this men's store is notorious in this kind of modus operandi.
ReplyDeletealso beware of hand BAGS store, they buy their bags from Malaysia, does a little bit of alteration to a 100 peso bag and TADAH, they sell it for 2,000 pesos!
ReplyDeleteI know cause when I visited Malaysia and went into one of their famous "tiange" I saw the exact replica of a bag I bought from BAGS, minus the BAGS tag. Said bag was only 150, managed to knock down the price to 75 by purchasing 5 bags.
The bag I bought from BAGS? It costed me 1,800. I thought it was a discount cause I met the owner of BAGS and the original price it was being sold was 2,500.....
